my cat, Norwegian forest, 2 years old.(Well at least it's what vet said.) But he only weights 7and half pounds. Is that normal? I'm guessing his mom is Norwegian but his father isn't.

One more thing. I live in apartment and he loves to watching outside from balcony so much. He just sit infront of the balcony and watching outside for like a hour. I don't understand what he thinking. oh, he just start watching again. is that normal? Is he wanna go outside or something?

ok...owning 3 cats, i know its cattish behaviour to kill things. but my cat dexter is becoming responsible for the rapid decline in wildlife! hes killing everything! and worse he keeps bringing everything back as gifts for me. ok i know this means hes happy. which makes me happy... but im starting to worry a bit...
monday i came home to a blackburd allover my living room, wednesday i had a pidgeon splatted around the kitchen... and yesterday i was laid on the sofa and saw a live frog hop across the living room floor... i picked him up... and took him back to the pond across the street... woke up the morning... and he was dead on the living room floor :(
does anyone else have this problem? well... i know it aint a problem as such... but is there anyway to kinda 'calm ' his killing spree down a little? as im getting these lovely gifts virtually every day... im just waiting to see him sitting there with a bit of tabby fur hanging out his mouth where hes ate the other cats!

I'm getting out of the military and finally able to get a dog. Of course I'll be working part time and going to school at the same time so it would be alone but I'm very active in life with hiking and photography. I love the idea of a Jack Russel but heard they have a lot of energy that I may not be able to provide. Any advice would be greatly accepted.

We have had out cat since he was 9 weeks and since the day we brought him home he was a little chancer, always up to something, but 15 months down the line, hes a big cat and still acting as though hes only 9 weeks! he wakes us up in the middle of the night digging at our bedroom door (he is DEFINATELY not allowed in our bedroom at night due him jumping at your face etc), we cant lock him in a room at night as he digs up all carpets and lino, we try to ignore him but it gets worse. every day we come home and something is broken, or the hoover is out the cupboard or dishes on the floor. he gets alot of love from us and we play with him alot, so why is he being so badly behaved? we have tried spraying water on him, but he thinks its great, like a game as if your playing tag with him!!! ive tried putting him in the naughty room (our conservatory) but he just finds something else to do in there!!! please help!!! :(

the goldfish picks on and chases one of the mollies and in return that molly fights (or maybe plays?) back with it... that was last night and now today it looks like the goldfish and the other molly are teaming up on the other one. im wondering if this is normal... it doesnt seem like they are hurting eachother but im still a little concerned. any ideas on why they are doing this?

I volunteer at our local county shelter and I have to clean a dog that is dirty and matted and possibly has not been bathed for its entire life? Any products I can use on it, that will help untangle hair and make it easier to comb?

Anyone who says you NEED to feed your dog a high quality dog food is a low quality person. Not everyone is gonna pay $40 a week for their dogs food. Although we would all really like to we cant :( . Not to say were poor but we just cant spend $14,600 a year on our dogs food when we can spend half that for a dog food that makes them have just as healthy as a life and as long as a life as the more expensive brands. (14,600 would be for a labrador retriever size dog)

Stop making people feel bad about what brand of food they get for their dogs. As long as they show the dog love and give him the excersize, water, daily food and attention he needs the dog will live a long happy life with the owner.

My question is...does anyone feed their dog the high quality dog food? And if so what has it done to improve your dogs life?

I have a question. I was reading about the Neapolitan Mastiff, and their temperment. That dog looks amazing!

What dogs look tough, powerful and confident, but are really nice and loyal in tempermant?

No need to mention Rotties or the APBT. To be honest, neither of them -look- very scary at all. I know they both make great pets if raised properly, too. =)

In Australia they have already banned some breeds of dog which are seen to be aggresive and dangerous. Is it fair to wipe out an entire breed because of a few careless dog owners?

seriously, all the people who have answered" pitbulls are viscious dogs" dont know what they are talking about.
why?
because they have never owned a pitbull before therefor they do not know what they are talking about

those people are the people who listen to the media. the lies the rumors.

pitbulls are loving dogs. and you dont know that because youve never been around one long enough to see how loyal and understanding and sweet they are.

they just get a bad reputation from people who mistreat their dog.

i mean, hitting your dog is like hitting your own CHILD.
otherwise called ABUSE. so dont do it.

thats why you hear that pitbulls are bad dogs or killers.

i mean has anyone ever seen the sandlot
and in it is a "beast" the kids had known him for being a killer from an urban legend. and in the end the dog was really nice.

so think twice about them please.
they dont deseverv it,

I own a kitten that has just reached four months old. He happens to live with my girlfriend and her roommate (who I do not live with). Whenever I'm around, he's very rambunctious and playful like I would expect a kitten to be. He's all over the place, literally. However, once I leave, apparently he becomes much more subdued and not anywhere near as hyped up. I spent the most time with the kitten when we first got him and I do spend the most time playing with him, so perhaps he associates me as more of a playmate than the two people that he lives with? Does anybody else have any ideas about this? Thanks for the help!

Okay, so i got a lovebird about 2 weeks ago and it was becoming very mean and aggressive, it wouldn't let me go anywhere near the cage, and i started to feel bad for it cause i thought that maybe it was lonely... so, like 2 days ago i got another one, and although they seem to like each other, they both seem to hate me... they get so scared every time i try to put my hand near them... i wanted the birds in the first place so that i could bond with them and it just makes me sad to think that they will hate me... Is there ANY way them changing? They are still babies. One is 8 weeks and the other 15... and I've only had the oldest one for 2 and a half weeks and the younger one for like 3 days... I'm just so disappointed that I'm thinking of just giving them away and getting something much friendlier... any ideas???
