my cat used to do the same, kept bringing frogs from our neighbours pond!
dead birds were also common!
it's in the cats nature to do this and there's nothing you can really do apart from keeping him locked indoors, but I doubt that's something you want to do.
i like the idea of a bell round it's collar, probably won't help the frogs escape but should help the birds! lol
p.s. not sure if it will work, but getting him spayed might calm him down.

Hmm - I used to own a 'killer cat', and I hated his little presents too! Just a couple of ideas - neutering him (if he's not already been done) may calm him down a bit so he doesn't go out on the prowl so often; and secondly, controlling his access to your home - so you have to let him in and out rather than him coming and going freely. In this way you can stop him coming in if he has a 'present' in his mouth and show your disapproval - he may get the message! Good luck.

put a bell on him, dont worry about him killing a pigeon they're vermin anyway. a bit worried about the blackbird and the frog. i love blackbirds. when i was a kid we a had a tom cat, every single day he's haul a dead pigeon to my mums back door. my mum would pat him on the head and give him a treat then shout to my dad "he's got another one, christ thats the 5th this week" we'd have to get rid of the evidence, he was taking them from out our back next street over from a pigeon fanciers loft. you cannot tame a house cat especially a tomcat.

is he neutered?
if not it may calm him down a little if he was
but i must admit i have the same problem with one of my cats lol
my youngest was a stray who turned up one day hanging on my letter box
well i had him neutered but he seems to like to make his killing daily
thankfully he don't give me his prize
before he was done he was bringing everything home
he even caught the neighbours rabbits & brought them home ( alive)
but since i had him chopped he sticks to mice and leaves them well away from the home though they do end up in the garden
untill i get the kids sceam "mum theres another dead one in the garden he's done it again"

I have 2 cats both female, both have been neutered. - one does not bring anything home at all but the other used to bring presents home daily. She had a bell on her collar but it didn't seem to be working so we added another one - she jingles as soon as she walks now and so far we have not had any presents since!!
I used to have a male cat and once he had been neutered he calmed down but we still had presents regularly, not as often as before but they didn't stop. I guess it depends on the cats nature too.

It's totally normal.
Just a tip though, make sure your cats are wormed regularly especially because it's eating frogs and frogs commonly carry tapeworm!

I have 2 cats .One I call my assasin because she kills things so fast their eyes are open. the other is the mangler cause he ripps everything to shreds. i had them both fixed and keep them both indoors .still doesnt keep them from killing. I live in florida so you get the occasional frog or lizard and the assasin is right there lol.Just remember to pat them on the head and tell them good kitty. LOL

One of my two cats will kill anything in her path... I once went down into the kitchen one morning to discover a dead bat!!! Luckily she hasn't repeated that, mice and birds are her favourites.

Kermit murder! Natural behaviour for cats. He is doing his bit
by eating other cats, thus reducing the overall effects that they have on wildlife.
