They always show you compassion no matter what happens in your life. Most dogs live such carefree lives it's a breath of fresh air to be around one. The best part is they do not talk so they won't judge you and they will just sit and listen to what you have to say. Dogs are happy over the simpliest things in life like playing catch or having a bone. Whenever I see my dog he puts a smile to my face.

I've had this cat for 2 years, her name is 'cha cha'('cause everytime before she'd pounce, her back end would do the 'cha-cha'),also she has been 'fixed',I think she's a very smart and playful cat..Here's my problem, she's never lived outside,(I live in an apartment complex)Should I let her go?Sometimes I think I'm doing her an injustice by keeping her confined in my aptartment,(she seems like she's wanting to go outside).I'd miss her if she did'nt come back though, but I hate holding her back from exploring the world outside like like her feline ancestors do.This may sound stupid but, should I even care about it.I'd just hate it if she would be roughed up by the more 'wilder' cat's out there.Help!

When I was out with my doggies this afternoon I passed a woman with two small children. They weren't keeping up with her so she told the to hurry up, then said "There's a doggy, hurry up or it will get you" and her children ran after her, screaming. Why are some parents so ignorant that they feel this kind of comment is a good idea? She'll end up with children who are obsessively paranoid about dogs. Am I over-reacting, or was that a very ignorant thing for the woman to do?

I was contacted by this lady who runs a animal rescue here where I live. We have been looking for a small dog for my daughter since she had to give up her kittens due to severe allergies.
well this lady has a 4 month old Toy pom/fox terrier mix and contacted me to see if I want it. MY ONLY CONCERN is that she told me the puppy is very stubborn in the crate training area and we are re-carpeting our house this weekend. I am afraid the new dog will pee all over the place.

What would you do. Advice appreciated.

My friends saw him get hit by a car and took him to the vet. They couldn't keep him so we offered to take him. He's much better. He's about 5 years old, and he is very good around the kids, but adults seem to scare him.(he is not at all aggressive though) He's starting to warm up to my boyfriend and I but I know I need to walk him to socialize him and so he can get some exercise, but he's afraid of the leash. I dont want to corner him to leash him, because he is so scared. Does any one have any ideas to get him to trust me a little more.

I have rehabed other rescue dogs before and I'm used to the violent ones (mainly german shepards and small dogs pits are a completely diffrent animal) . So, I don't want him to become violent by forcing anything on him

Has anyone seen anything like this or knows what might have caused it? Sorry about the pictures, he was trying hard to hide in the plants.

It seems that just about every dog attack that we read or hear about was caused by pit bulls (and their negligent owners). Should this breed of dog be outlawed as a pet? Why don't we hear about German shepherd or Doberman attacks. There are probably just as many negligent owners of these dogs as well.

I have a 35L bi-ube fish tank which has been established for 18months. It is a community tank, which is not over populated. It was absolutely fine yesterday, but over the last 12 hours or so it has been getting cloudier and the water is now very murky and grey -ish brown. My first thought was that a fish had died, but they are all accounted for. Water chemistry has been tested and is fine - no ammonia, nitrite, very small nitrate, ph 7.4. Filter has been checked and is working fine and doesnt need replaced. Also, the water smells absolutely awful, like sewage mixed with fish. :S. I have done a partial water change, but am out of ideas apart from that?!???

Okay. So I realize that Black Moor Goldfish have rather poor sight to begin with so at first, I figure it was just part of his maturing process. As they get older, they go from their bronzey-gold color to a more velvet texture. Their eyes start to telescope out, etc. Well, two of the three fancy tails that I purchased, turned out to be sick when I got them. They all came from the same tank. I've changed my water each time one died, done the proper water conditioning, let it set 24 hours, yadda yadda.

Well, my Black Moor has been developing and swimming around but his eyes have turned almost completely white. Normally, the scales form a protective layer and a lot of times, they'll have red-eye. It looks like it tried but his eyes are white. There really isn't any other way to describe it. And I'm not sure if he's eating. It's like he's trying but he can't get to the food even though I've taken the plants out of the tank.(they were fake. it's a simple 1 gallon.) Someone help?
