This will sound odd, but try tomato juice - a cup or more depending on the size of your dog.
I have Staffie Bulls and my girl had a recurring bladder infection a couple of years ago. I had her on several courses of antibiotics, the vet tested her for all different kinds of cancers and gland problems and organ issues. (She was having them constantly for nearly 6 months.)
Someone told me to try tomato juice. I did and the infection cleared up after two bowlfuls - one a day.
Crazy, and I can't say it has any medical value whatsoever, but it worked and it worked again when she had one a couple months after that.
Try it and if it doesn't work you should see your vet, an infection can be caused by a lot of things which is why we tested my dog for everything.

My pug has one and he had to be put on antibiotics. I would do that right away before it gets worse. Call the vet and see if he'll write you a prescription without actually seeing the dog. If he does, that may be even cheaper the buying over the counter

Don't ever self-medicate your dog, if you don't know the exact cause of the problem. How do you know it's a UTI? If you self-medicate and dog, and it's for the wrong thing, you can do serious harm. The safest and smartest thing to do, is to have a vet check your dog out, see if that's what the problem is and treat it with the proper medication.

Take Pittie to the vets for a proper diagnosis and medication.
Pitties, sadly, are prone to ailments - skin problems, joint problems etc. including cancer.
You're better off taking him to the vet.
