Okay. So I realize that Black Moor Goldfish have rather poor sight to begin with so at first, I figure it was just part of his maturing process. As they get older, they go from their bronzey-gold color to a more velvet texture. Their eyes start to telescope out, etc. Well, two of the three fancy tails that I purchased, turned out to be sick when I got them. They all came from the same tank. I've changed my water each time one died, done the proper water conditioning, let it set 24 hours, yadda yadda.
Well, my Black Moor has been developing and swimming around but his eyes have turned almost completely white. Normally, the scales form a protective layer and a lot of times, they'll have red-eye. It looks like it tried but his eyes are white. There really isn't any other way to describe it. And I'm not sure if he's eating. It's like he's trying but he can't get to the food even though I've taken the plants out of the tank.(they were fake. it's a simple 1 gallon.) Someone help?

Well, I guess my roommate was right when she said she was cursed with fish. I'd been checking on him every couple of hours, just to see if he was still swimming around and when I walked into my room a few minutes ago, he was dead. Sigh.
I have a filter, I don't overfeed. My water is clean and conditioned. I've done everything right. I've had fish for a really long time, mostly bettas and I've never had any problems. The only reason I had to get new fish is because you can't very well bring a betta with you on a 16 hour drive to a new location. LoL Oh well. It happens, I guess. Maybe I'll just look into getting a betta. That's where my best structure lies. Thanks to those who gave answers. It's much appreciated.

In not attempting to get "upset" or whatever, I shall remain civil. Comes to find out, I purchased the fish from a bad shop. I just moved here like 3 weeks ago so I was unaware that they were bad fish. I'd had more than one person tell me that the pet shop was good so I trusted the judgment. Things seemed fine. The fish that I purchased were the smaller breed of goldfish. The 1 gallon was the tank that I had and was waiting on the larger, which now, I'm not going to get. And as for the water, I'd only had the fish for about 8 days. I never sat it outside. I simply gave it 24 hours with the conditioner before placing the fish inside. I'm very much aware that fish need 'more space' but I'm sure they would have been fine considering they swim in schools in the tanks in pet stores for god knows how long. Another week wouldn't have hurt them, were they actually healthy, I'm sure. None the less. They aren't here anymore. Oh well. It's over. : )
