its normal, lol its called chirping. they usually do it to imitate a hunt. when a cat kills a pray they do that motion to the animal with their mouth as a form of killing them. its perfectly normal.

When Sis, my one year old female gets excited about her prey she chatters at it. It does sound like she is barking but she is just on the hunt. She does it more often if the are kittens present so I think she may be subconsciously calling the baby to come see this new toy.

Did your dog bark, as if it heard a dog?
Kittens that live with dogs, tend to mimic them, think they're dogs. Maybe your kitty some how learned to bark. When I was starting high school, years ago, I had kitten. My parents, my Grandma, my brother and I lived in one house. We had 2 dogs, and the kitten thought he was a dog. He would come when called, he would chase dogs from out yard. I think that's going to happen. It's not bad, though.

Yes, it is quite normal. In fact, our cats have often sat in windows watching the critters outside- and chirped at them! Or at least, that's what it sounded like.
Your kitten sounds like she was having a lot of fun!

Behavior is learned, my cat still "barks" at the mailman and other strangers coming to the house. She makes this odd huffing noise and growls. She acts just like my dog. It's rather funny. Normal? yep.

Cats make all kinds of noises. I doubt that she's imitating your dog, but then again, maybe she is. It's no problem. She's just "talking" about the fun she's having chasing that fly.
If she catches and eats the fly don't worry about that either. It won't hurt her.

I've seen a lot of cats do that, even when watching birds out a window. It's normal, nothing to do with your dog.

the single that runs far off from you won't be used to you yet. the single that makes noises-once you %. her up does it reason glaring discomfort? once you (gently) push in on the two ingredient does it reason discomfort? Is she limping, or seems to "prefer" a ingredient? Then take her to the vet. that's how I do (what I call) a "container prognosis" on a stray cat.

I have always called this sound "cackin" like crackin without the "r". Because that is what it sounds like to me. My cat even does it to me like back talk from a kid when I tell him to stop doing something. He starts "cackin" back at me as if to say~yes I can do what I want, lol.

Our cat does that when he gets very excited watching a bird outside the window. It's like it is driving him crazy.
