My new kitten seems to like dry food only and yet she was eating fish etc before we bought her home - when I give her tinned tuna or pouch meat she tries to bury it!

We have two kittens (3 months old) that have been in the house for a month, and an older cat (8 or 9 years old). When can we let the kittens roam free? Right now they are penned up in the foyer (with food and water and a litter box, of course).

The adult cat hissed the first two days, and after that would disappear whenever we let the kittens out to play. Now, she doesn't show interest in the kittens at all, and doesn't disappear too much. No hissing, either.

The problem is, everyone is at work or school for most of the day. I'm afraid it's too early to let them play together alone yet. What age would be good? Or what signs should I look for?

He is 6 months old and he ALWAYS wants attention. Always want to play, always wants to cuddle or at least sleep next to me. He will literally not sleep if he sees me doing something... he'll stand around, watching over my shoulder. He might fall asleep but he wakes up quickly whenever he thinks I'm up to something. Very nosy. I know that he's just an affectionate cat but sometimes I think is it normal for a cat to be this clingy? People say that cats are independent but mine certainly isn't! He loves to be with people, especially me, and he hates being alone.

Then I took a glass and fill it up with cleaned and boiled sand and added it to aquarium from the top basically throwing from the top. Filter was closed during this.

Now my water is dirty brown colour and I cannot see anything in it . Where did i mess it up or how can I clean it now .

Please help.

We adopted a kitten and they give him a physical and dewormed him, etc. They didn't give him any shots because he is still too young. However, when we got him home he was coughing and sneezing. He sounds like he wants to cough something up, but nothing comes out. I don't think its a hairball. He is a typical Domestic Short Hair. His eyes are very teary and his nose is runny. It's been about a week. He is eating, drinking, and very active.

Anyone know what it is, or what we can do to help him? We called a vet and they told us to wait and see what happens, but I think that is horrid advice.

I had 1 cat, and this year I found 6 kittens with problems in the streets. I raised them and managed to rehome 4 of them. The 2 are still here, and I can't find a home, plus now i love them too much. I live in a not too large appartment with my husband. We often go away for work, and we used to take the cat with us, but he was one cat and he didn't mind travelling. Do you think 3 cats is too much? If you hear that someone has 3 cats in an apt. what do you thiink (that they are crazy cat people whose house will probably be covered in hairs and stink? or that it's cool? Be honest)

pick up a kitten flea shampoo from the petstore so I could wash them this evening. He brought Hartz Advanced Care 2-in-1 Rid Flea Cat Shampoo. Is this OK for me to use on the little guys?

FYI, their fleas are not severe but I want to nip this in the bud now before it gets worse.

We have some very annoying Pee Wees, those small magpie birds, that in the morning, persistantly bang on our windows: sometimes they will start at 6.00am, and go for hours.
Does anybody know a serious way of getting rid of them aside from (killing them ).
Tried the hose, and things that dingle dangle; the only thing that seems to frighten them, is when we refer to them as having the brains of George W Bush, they take off screaming.

Its been several months and I cant do anything about it. Im trying to get my drivers liscence as fast as a I can so I can drive him. Will my dog be ok after like 4 months of them ignoring this? Will he die? IS he in pain? Any advice would help please! Im kinda scared?

Cleo is almost 4; just before our older cat was put to sleep (she & Cleo tolerated each other) 8 months ago, we bought a half rag-doll male kitten (Jasper) who is 10 months old. We tried to do all the right things, keeping them separate, introducing them slowly, giving Cleo a place of her own Jasper wasn't allowed to go, feeding them together. They are both desexed.

Jasper wants to play with Cleo, she will have nothing to do with him. She growls & hisses, then lashes at him with claws out. He used to just run away, but now he's bigger than her, he chases her back. They ignore each other at dinner time; their bowls are close together but it doesn't seem to worry them. They are given equal amounts of affection.

I'm really afraid one or the other of them will get hurt. Nothing has worked so far, so ANY suggestions welcome. I NEED HELP!

Previous answers (thanks): I tried the tuna oil, they licked themselves not each other; neither are interested in catnip so spraying that doesn't help.

In response to previous answers, I took all the fish back except for my convicts and the pleco... just in time too. My convicts were terrorizing my tiger barbs. So I now have a heavily planted aquarium w/ six juvenile cichlids. I figure about a month of letting the aquarium sit and weekly water changes should be enough to cycle the aquarium and give the cichlids time to grow... My ultimate goal is to have one breeding convict pair and a few of one other species of fish... Any suggestions on where I should go from here?

I have a three gallon tank and would like to give my fish some companions. What fish are compatiable with the Bettas. I know rule of thumb...nothing with too showy of fins.

There's a long straight line of bubbles going to the top of my tank. I don't have an airstone in there lol. It is heavily planted. I'm having trouble deciding whether it's co2, or oxygen? How can you tell? I'm having trouble telling if it's coming from the substrate itself, or if the gas is coming from the anarcharis?
Any info is greatly appreciated!
