My cat is fourteen and she is getting so skinny. She also has been laying in the cat box all day. Is this something I should be concerned with? Other than the obvious thing to say "take the cat to the vet," Anyone with ideas would help.

Ok... I have a question.... Whats the best way to get your 4 legged furry friends to stop going potty on one specific area. We have tryed everything on that spot. But they keep going on that spot. All it takes is one cat to go in that spot and everyone else wants to. Our 2 girls go in the cat box. But our boy cat refuses to use it. Then the dog goes over to where the cat went potty. plz help me. Whats the best way of training him or doing something about the poor carpet. It SMELLS!!! And plz dont say get rid of the cat.

I was at my LFS today, and in the tank with the clown loaches was these other fishes that looked similar, except they were light brown with dark brown stripes similar to the clown loaches. they were thicker, and the hump on their back is higher. I asked the people at the store and they said same but bigger species (chinese) I've searched all the botia sites I can find, with no luck. the fish guy said they can reach 35cm? thanks for any info

I started my boston terrier on Frontline for fleas two months ago. By the second dosage, I am still seeing a few fleas on him. My roomate has a kitten and she is not on Frontline or anything for fleas. My dog goes outside, but her cat stays inside. Ive seen a few on her once in a while. Is he getting them from her, or is he bringing them in from outside and if he is, does it take time for the fleas to bite and get the Frontline into their systems and die? Im really annoyed because I payed all this money to prevent this from happening. I really feel like calling and complaining about this to Frontline and demand my money back. What should I do?

They liked canned food and dry but now they wont eat canned just the dry, i tried switching brands/flavour/size of meat etc and back to same as before but they are just eating the dry stuff. Is this normal and is it ok they only want dry. They seem fine in themselves no behavior or toilet changes.

Having our carpets cleaned tomorrow -- hoping to get out the odor of cat urine in one corner. The professional cleaners guarantee their pet solution. My question is: once the odor is gone, will Kitty stop going potty in that corner??? Anything I can do to facilitate this?

I put an ad on petfinders.com about my puppies for sale, and I have gotten all mail from people from different countries and a few from the states. Can you believe these people wanting a puppy to be shipped to them, then they want my information to send me a cashiers check, Who can I report them too? Then they gave me a fake e-mail address called, SKYPETS@yahoo.com. where they say will ship them from, I just hope other people don't fall for this, they are terrible. Terrible how people are.........

This last Saturday we went to a canine store, and she fell in love with a small, toy Chihuahua by the name of Turbo. My Poodle had a peeing accident. I wonder if it's caused cause of the new friend? What's your best advice to all dog lovers and experts out there for me? Thanks. My poodle loves playing with the Chihuahua and we both watch while they are out there playing.

Please only answer this if your 100% serious and sincere! No smart answers PLEASE! I"m starting to get worried, and before I go on, yes, I'm going to take her to the vets, I just wanted some advice from anyone who might have already gone through this, or has experience. I have a 7 pound MaltiPoo and Jazzy is a 3 1/2 pound Mini Pinscher. Shes 8 months old. When she went into heat, I had to keep them away from each other COMPLETELY . He drove us crazy trying to always get to her! BUT, on 2 occasions, he was with my daughter, I wasn't home, he got to her and "connected". Well, its been about a month since she stopped bleeding. All the sudden her nipples are big, she goes outside to pee ALOT! sleeps alot, and stomach is bigger. Is she in danger because my MaltiPoo is so much bigger than her? and because its her first heat? My vet appont. is Monday, but if you have experience in my little problem, please advise me! I"m really worried I just adopted her 2 wks before she went into heat

I bought a cat from the vet clinic here on post sat. She seemed ok, but after awhile she started dry heaving like she was going to throw up, then yesterday and today she has this stuff running out the corners of both eyes and her nose, plus she has diarrhea and sleeps all the time (the sleeping part i just put this off as her being a kitten) but now im worried . I have 2 adult cats and I have never seen this in either of them, not even when they were kittens. All my cats are indoor cats. Im afraid the new kitten has something that she may pass on to my 2 adult cats. Am I over reacting...My vet is at lunch right now

So everyone had to learn from some place how to train there dogs. I'm sure some had the benefit of growing up close to family or friends who shared a weath of knowledge.

I wonder, for those who did not have that nice little bonus, how did you find a suitable trainer to help you learn what to do in training your dogs. Did you at first, make a bad choice and go with someone less than experienced/reputable? How did you find that gem who guided you in learning how to train? What kind of resources did you use to find that person and/or people? Was the Yellow Pages even an option? Did you use just one instructor or did seek out training with a few different trainers to learn different methods/techniques? Does a trainer need to be researched to verify they actually know what they are doing?

With so many suggesting the "pet supply store training classes" (ugh), I just wonder if some really think it that hard to find a good trainer?
