my dog tried to catch a mouse in the backyard and it ran under a door and got stuck. when we went to pick up the body [assuming it was dead], it started walking with its two front arms/legs whatever you call them and dragging the back two. we tried to save it by putting it into an old cage of ours with bedding, food and water for the night. now she seems to be walking just fine so i dont think anything is broken. and, but of course with my luck she ended up having babies. there is a toilet paper tube in there and she gave birth to them in there. now, if i buy a very small igloo for her, will she be able to move them?

also, i have not touched the babies, or the tube or anything in the cage at all since she's had them. i've only dropped some food in because of the chance of her abandoning them.

i'm sorry if this is a stupid question. i've never had a mouse before so i'm lost. i do not plan on keeping her or the babies. i just want to make sure they are all safe for the time being.

I have 2 red ear slider turtles as pets. I have a pretty good environment for them and clean the tank regularly. I have had the turtles for 4 years, and am planing on breeding them, (one is a male, one is female, and i know they are able to breed around 5 years old) so i am getting ready for that. I have a 35 gallon glass tank pretty deep with water, and was wondering what special things i will need to accommodate the eggs and etc..
I know some turtles have to lay eggs in the sand or dirt, but since RES's are mostly aquatic, do they lay eggs underwater? Probably not... just a beginner at this and wondering if anyone had some tips. thanks

Do black pugs usually have the "double coat" that fawn pugs do? We currently have a fawn pug who sheds like crazy, and we were planning on getting a second pug. The good thing about the fawn pug is that his hair color blends in more to our furniture and rugs. A black pug who shedded this much would be terrible since our couch, rugs, etc are all a tan color. I know the double coat on fawn pugs is what usually causes them to shed as much as they do. Can you enlighten me as to how your own pug's shedding is?
thanks!

My 5 month old puppy had blood in her poop a few days ago, the vet did a fecal exam (it was negative) and advised me to feed her chicken & rice for a while. Well, the blood issue is almost cleared up, but now her poop is very mucusy. Is that a normal result from the chicken & rice. I have a 14 month old which has also been eating it too and now her poop has mucus in it also, hers is a bit firmer. Sorry if this is gross, but I'm just curious...

My dog had a trail of string hanging from his butt after he pooped & he tried to bite it but he can't get it, and we tried to pull it lightly, but he moaned. My father insists it's string. I didn't really get a good look at it, but he hasn't eaten anything except food since he was a puppy. I was thinking maybe worms? How do I tell what it is, and more importantly, how do I get it out? We cut the larger half off, but there's still some left that he can't poop out. Please help my dog!

I'm getting two pet corn snakes soon, I'm not sure what sex they will be yet. They are both from the same parents but is it true two males are likely to fight each other? If so can they do much damage to one another?

no nocturnals. if you say ferret you are going to have to really prove it because my mom says they stink but it was in the pet store and it had lots of crap in the cage.also can ferrets get exercise out of a playpen with lots of toys to play with or do they have to free roam around the house.

I was thinking of buying a kitten but my friend suggested I adopt one. She said that it would be cheaper and the cat would be healthier. I agreed that it would be nice to adopt from a shelter but It seems whenever I call a place (just to ask about the cost and how I go about adopting) they say they I have to feel out a lot of papers and see what cat I want before they tell me a price. My friend said that the price should be around 30 to 60 dollars but the few prices that different places have given me were more like 200 to 300 dollars. If I bought one it would be around 100 even. I'd have to take it to the vet afterwards anyhow (I trust no one who says everything is great with a kitten, I want to take it to a different vet just to make sure...people tell you anything nowadays) and buy other stuff for the kitten and I'm in college too so I'm looking for the best possible deal. What are your ideas on adopting from shelters vs. buying from the store? Thanks in advance for your help!!!
