Simple and the birds like it: cut a strip of paper, fold it in half, and hang it from a top cage wire so that it hangs near the perch. They like to chew it up.

Yes any toys will do but they are very distructive and a good wooden perch and wooden toy will be better . if you need ideas look on line for parrot pet supplies they have lots of rope and wood toys...allan

My cockatiel loves a bottle brush to play with! Just a normal store bought one from the grocery section - the type you clean insudes of bottles with. He also loves a light shiny teaspoon, a cotton reel and a marble.
But he might be a bit strange!
