You're getting a boa tomorrow and you don't know that they don't usually eat dead geckos? Boas eat rats and mice normally. Throw the gecko away. I highly doubt your boa would show any interest in it.

Don't feed it the gecko you don't know what it died from, if it was something that reptiles can't deal with you boa will die also, besides they don 't eat other reptiles unless young and then they won't want a dead one. You have about two weeks before you need to feed it so get a book or surf the net and learn something about your pet it's life depends on you!

If you are seriously getting a boa tomorrow, you need to do a lot of research about proper diet. If you had, you'd know that feeding a wild caught lizard or rodent could be dangerous.

No,because you don't know what it died from. What if it was poisoned? If it was,and you feed it to the snake, the snake will get poisoned as well. Also,if it had a virus or bacterial infection, because it is a reptile,it could be passed to the snake. So,not a good idea.Stick with pre-killed mice and rats to be safe.

Was it your pet gecko? How long was it dead before you found it and why did it die? If you don't know the cause of death I wouldn't feed it to your snake as it could carry some kind of desease.

I wouldn't trust it. Dead animals can accumulate alot of nasty bacteria in a very short amount of time. Putting it in hot water for 10 minutes won't necessarily kill the bacteria. just throw it out you can get your snake fresher food.

No, it could carry parasites that it adapted an immunity to but could effect other reptiles to the point of death. Added bonus you don't know why it died, maybe it died because of a diseases that could potentially kill your snake, or maybe it was poisoned. It could have disease carrying bacterium. You never know... It could even carry salmonella
