Call your mentor or call your vet. You need to talk to someone who can walk you through what is going on. There are so many things that we need to know to tell you if what she is doing is just normal "stretching her legs" or something more sinister, like she has a medical issue that needs to be addressed.

If this is her first litter, she may not know what to do, put the puppies up to her teats, see if she will let them nurse, they must feed soon or they will not survive. She may still have another pup or something not right in her birth canal, she needs checked by a vet ASAP. This being the weekend, don`t wait till Monday, it may be too late. Try to get her and the pups into an emergency animal hosp. now. Something not normal is going on with ur dog, get help for her and the puppies.

Hi

Give your dog some space. Dogs are den animals by nature and she would probably like space quiet and privacy. DO NOT LET EVERYONE AROUND HER or her puppies for now.Make sure she has adequate food and water close by her area at all times. She is a a dog and dogs do not go by a human agenda and expectations.

Make sure her area is secure with no other creatures coming around ( including humans).
Check on her every couple of hours and if she doesn't beginto nurse by the morning, get her and the pups to the vet immediately.

Just be patient for now and realize that birth can also be traumatic for animals too.

I had this same problem with a dog Lady. I was concerned she wasn't nursing her puppies. So I had her lie down and I put her pups beside her so they could suckle. After that I had no problems whatsoever and I had 5 beautiful healthy puppies.I don't know if it'll work for ur dog, But you can give it a try.Hope I helped.

Maybe you bred her too young?? Maybe you didn't put up your whelping box and get her used to it.. Maybe you made her into too much of a people dog that she doesn't have the instinct necessary to properly raise and care for her own puppies?

Maybe.. Just maybe.. YOU should do something.. Encourage her, and put the puppies up to the teat and make sure they eat.. IF you don't get them eating NOW and they miss out on the colostrum ( which only is produced for 12 hours ) Your puppies risk a life of health problems.

If you can't get her to feed them.. You must hand feed them yourself every 2 hours.. Go get milk replacer from the vet. You must also learn to make them pee and poop.. This is NECESSARY.

If you can't figure out how to do any of this.. You must get your butt to the vet and get some help..

Is this her first litter? Is she old enough to have puppies? Are you sure she's even done whelping? Did she expel all the placenta? If she doesn't start feeding and cleaning them soon, hope you're prepared to feed them every 2 hours and that you have tubes and formula for them.

maybe you have got to close her territory and now she thinks u should take care of them u should never go near puppies when they are first born u should never enter any where near them because it is the mothers job to take care of the puppies and she thinks u are trying to harm her puppies be careful she can even kill them if she feels that way i know because mine are due next week and the vet told us

Is it her first litter? She might not take care of them then. But hopefully she will come around. They usually do. Don't force her right away. Hopefully she is atleast feeding them. That's all they really need. Call your vet tho. Ask them.

If this is her first litter, she may not know what to do.
She might also be rather exhausted.
Help them to nurse, or they'll soon die.
Get her to lick each one clean.
Usually, once the milk flows the hormones kick in.
