my cat had 4 kittens but they have fleas i was wondering if i fed my cat brewers yeats in her food could the brewers yeast get into the kittens milk and get rid of fleas on the kittens or could that harm them ? the kittens are 4 DAY OLD okay :)

I wouldn't..... the yeast may cause digestive upsets. Be especially careful if you do it anyway not to buy yeast tabs that include garlic, even if they are marketed for cats. Garlic can be toxic.

See my blog for my suggestions on flea treatments. But with kittens, I would check with the vet as to what would be appropriate to use on them.

It shouldn't hurt the kittens. The dose for a cat (that you put on the food) is 1/4 tsp a day which is very small, about the size of a pea.

The stuff makes cats taste bad to fleas, so it's a good home remedy to try. Kittens less than 8 weeks old can't be given most flea meds.
