We live in Michigan and for personal reasons we have recently decided to move. Our new puppy won't be able to stay inside with us. She is about 10 weeks old. We'll have an 'igloo' dog house for her and adequate fencing, but will she be okay? We plan to put a tarp up to help block most of the wind. I know they are typically 'outside' dogs but she is still so young. I'm worried the cold will be too much.

now thats out of the way... whats the little black specks of stuff in her fur? It's mainly up around her ears and neck.

What could it be???
She does not go outside, so its not dirt.
She does not have fleas, so please dont say its fleas.

My neighbor trapped my cat's....I am heart broken. I have anxiety and they helped me cope with my problem. Without my cats I am very upset sad heart broken can't sleep at night and having anxiety problems....Can I sue my neighbor for emotional distress? I live in Califonia.

My female dog appeared to start her heat cycle. I was alerted by my male with all the sniffing excitement. She looked a tiny bit swollen, but no other signs showed. It is right on time for her to cycle, and as she is a different breed from my Boxer so I must separate them to prevent any unwanted breedings. I have yet to breed my own litter and I am being very correct in doing health testing and such, I am just curious about what can happen with a silent heat, can the female be breed?
No hater statements please. I love my dog.

My 3 year old cat HATES having her nails trimmed, but she's an indoor-only pet so there's no question that it's absolutely necessary.

I've been doing it since she was a week old and it's never gotten easier. I've always been gentle - never trimmed more than the tip, never hurt her - use specialized cat clipper/scissors, have someone else to help hold her, wrap her in a towel/blanket, everything I can think of to make it as comfortable an experience as possible - yet it never fails that I walk away bleeding!

I refuse to pay $18-25 every other week or so to take her to a vet or groomer to have them do it for me, but the hassle is becoming more than I (or she) can bare! What else can I do?

PLEASE - any serious suggestions would be sincerely appreciated!

I have a medical condition that causes me to have extreme pain and tightness in the muscles of my neck, and I have a good friend of mine with the same condition that has one that she trained to lay on her neck at night and she said that it has worked wonders. But, due to my medical bills, I cannot afford to pay for the high prices for one. If you know anyone that has an adult available located in KS or MO please let me know. Thanks.

Also, my vet has agreed to donate all medical services and premium cat food at no charge, so the cat will recieve great care.

It's my little girl's birthday tomorrow and since she will be a year old and has just fought off gastro I think there is enough reasons to celebrate. Any ideas for a doggie cake that I can bake for her and her friends? She is a cocker and given the recent gastro something easily digestible please.

I have 2 solid black doxies, Momma (pepper) and daughter (PJ) which stands for pepper junior because they are completely identical!)) My fiance found pepper 5 years ago in a pet shop in NE and neither one of us have ever seen another and we get SO many comments about how nobody else has ever seen a solid black one. She had a litter of seven pups the first time and out of 7 only one was black (it was the runt, PJ) and her second litter of 4 she had 2. So if she's had 3 black ones so far it can't be that rare? I have had a very few people say they've seen other black ones but it was always years ago...

My research has gathered the following: 0-ammonia, 0-nitrites, <20.1-nitrates, 20-gallon+ tank. I need to know the salinity as it is a brackish fish, pH, and temperature range. Any other information will be greatly appreciated as I am new to puffers. The puffer is a juvenile Green Spotted Pufferfish. (T. Nigroviridis).

Hello,
I'm a real scaredy cat when it comes to snakes!!
I won't even go anywhere near them..I guess television shows that have people dying from snake bites on them don't really help!!!
I was just wondering if any-one else is, and by the way, what is a fear of snakes called??

Besides taking him to the vet, how do I help him from home? It's not a really big deal, it's just he tore inbetween his toes(Do dogs have toes?) Right next to his claw. He keeps licking it and it's been bleeding for about 2-3 hours. He'll let me touch it so it can't be that painful but he barely puts pressure on it. I'm only 13, my parents are gone so i just need some advice that even me, a kid, could do. Help!
