Speak with your vet, you may not be applying it correctly.

If you haven't treated the environment, no amount of topical insecticide you put on your dog will help. It can only do so much, but if the fleas are living and breeding in your home or yard, they will just keep jumping back on and there are way too many for the topicals to control. Treat your house and yard and treat the dog with Frontline Plus or Advantage that you get from your vet.

Also, if you bathe your dog, use a SOAP FREE shampoo. Regular shampoos strip the product from the skin and render it totally ineffective. Bathe the dog and wait a minimum of one day, preferably two, before applying the product. Don't bathe again for at least a few days to give it time to spread over the body.

Natural treatments for fleas in your home and yard: Diatomaceous earth, sprinkle around the baseboards, around the foundations of your house, in the couch cushions. Vacuum really well and throw out the vacuum cleaner bag immediately. Put down some more DE. Powdered sulfur sprinkled around the perimeter of your property will also repel the fleas.

Try Dawn. Make a soapy ring around his neck first then submerge him in water and soap the rest of him then you need to take a flea comb and get all eggs and fleas out of his coat. You may have to do this more than once but it will get rid of the fleas. It is safe, wildlife rescuers use dawn when cleaning animals involved in oil spills. We used to use it to get rid of fleas in our cats. After cleaning him you need to shampoo your carpets and vacuum everyday for at least a week. It is important that you make the ring around his neck before giving him the bath. Fleas will travel to his head if you don't this gets the ones on his body and keeps them from living.

Skin So Soft by Avon works to repel them I don't know if it will help to get rid of them though. Adding garlic to the diet will repel fleas & ticks. Daisy Flea Baine is a weed that grows naturally everywhere. It got it's name because it wards off fleas. You can braid a band of it to use as a collar. I let it grow in my yard. I mow around it.

have you treated your house and yard? the frontline might have been working but there might be so many fleas that you always are seeing fleas on the dog. also try advantix and maybe revolution, but revolution has a heartworm preventative in it, so if your dog has not been tested he needs to be before being put on it. but as a show person your dog is currant on all hearworm meds right?
