well sometimes fishes are getting ill also & not confortable on the environment
1.Just check if you fed the fish alot - if you feed him alot ur fish will be ill in high risk.
2. check the enivorment - see if the place is over crowding or if your using a smaller place. coz fish will be more confortable if they can swim around in a large space.
3. check if your oxygen pipe is blowing lot of blubbles - coz if the pipe is blowing lot of bubbles (strong bubbles) it will affect the mood of the fish & they might unable to swim as they wanted to.
these are some suggestions & reason that we should keep an eye on.
Last : if the fish is not moving & floating on its back --- i do beleive that it is already dead. Dont be sad & start a new one with my tips... ok?
thank you.

Personal experience, have tried all means and medications, never had any chance of helping even one to turn back... but some may live on the back for many weeks, if they still can eat, eventually they died. Better to separate them before they contaminate the water if they died while you are away for a while, but this way will definitely kill the inverted fish almost immediately, but that's the best choice... to save the rest in the tank.

All of you are far to mean, I've cried many of a times when one of my animals have died throughout my life; as big or small they may have been...(sniff, sniff,..tear..) When you choose to care for an animal, regardless the size, species, amount of care, or what not, anyone who wishes to have a pet and care for them properly should research the animal first, and then provide the environment and preceed the needs it, or they ,might need before you even get them, (or him, her if you will.) Even most pet stores, if you knew, do not take care of most of their animals while they retain their care as they should because they might not take the time to research how they are to be kept and cared for, or they just dont care. Regardless, from what I have researched and seen and experienced myself, if an animal is kept in captivity and is under any kind of aiglment, or sick, may be dying, mmoosstt of the time it is at the caretakers fault, you or another, they cannot do anything for themselves while their lives are controlled by another BEING... As ironic and hipocrytical that may sound, and is; I cant say that youd have done any wrong, as much as I love animals, and as sick witth that it may sound, how would we know how to properly care for something almost perfectly, without trial and error? Even with guidence there is, as in most other aspects, room for mistakes, ( and also some may argue, depending Who's life and of which creature of the world it may matter,) GO FOR THE GOLDFISH!!!! Animals are AWSOME!!

My fish does this all the time. I like to think she is being whimsical...having a good time. I used to think she did it to see the look on my face when I thought she was dead! I never knew fish did this until I got her.

You need to be very strong now... your goldfish, I am afraid to say, has gone to where the goldfish go when they are floating on their backs...
sniff...

your fish pobably has swim bladder disease, there's nothing you can do for it except lower the water level to 6 inches to help it move around better & eat - sometimes they recover
