Anybody here had Musk turtles. Im thinking of getting one and would like to know the basic care information, feeding life-span e.t.c for them, if you have had them in the past that would be great. I saw them last weekend and i know that they have to live in a heated tank, with a strong light above which they can bask in. A large rock to climb on and small gravel. Alos if you have had them as pets in the past could you please tell me how big they grow up to aswell and if you can take them out of the tank as all of the net information is all completely different. I thought someone with experiance with them would be best. If you can help that would be great and obviously you will get 10 points x

I am having a hard time determining if my dog is pregnant. She went into heat in on june 9 th. Her first one. We had her dog-sat while we went on vacation. Now she has gained weight and her nipples are sagging. When we checked her nipples they are producing milk. Serious answers only. torbaynewfs, keep your snide remarks to yourself, I do not need your advice or bullshit attitude about having mutt puppies. Do not reply to my question.

My nine-month-old female, Gidget, went into labor and when she started pushing, there was a tiny tail sticking out of the birth canal. I thought, this can't be good. She pushed and pushed and pushed for several hours and didn't get anywhere. It was late at night and I was really tired and I went to sleep and she woke me up a couple of hours later and she had a tail and two little legs sticking out. I figured that since she worked on it so long that the baby must be dead, so I helped her by wrapping the legs in part of the towel she was on ( for grip) and pulling the baby out while she pushed. Yes, she actually let me do this. The placenta was wrapped around the head, making it bigger and harder to expel. I don't think she could have expelled it by herself without giving herself heart failure. Did I kill the kitten or do you think it was already dead?

What breed of dog do you not have but would love to have? And tell which breeds you have now. I have a Sheltie "rusty" A Westie"missy" and a Silky"ozzy'. But would LOVE to have a Norwich Terrier!!!

I don't understand... It's mostly on his legs, but some, oddly enough, around his eyes too.
He acts like it's real tender, and won't let any family members touch his legs. I'm worried about my dog!

My lab will make a funny noise whenever a police car or ambulance passes. It doesn't make any sense. She started doing it about a month ago, and now she tries to mimic the siren whenever one passes.

I am considering building myself a cage for my guinea pig. Is it possible to build a multi-story cage for her that she will actually use? I have heard that she probably wont go up the ramps, but I need to know for sure before I build it.

This morning my dog began limping on his hind right leg. I've checked the leg thoroughly, checked each of the pads and in between but can find nothing wrong, no cuts, swelling - nothing. He doesn't flinch at all, no matter where I prod.

I took him for a short walk earlier, he started out not putting his foot down at all. As the walk went on he began putting his foot down, then the limp got less and less obvious - although never went away completely.

He was completely fine last night. Obviously if it continues I'll take him to the vet but I was just wondering if anyone had advice in the meantime.

He's resting now.

If it helps, he's a 6yr old ex-racing greyhound. We've had him since January and never had this problem before.

I have a 4 1/2 year old male whole boxer, who is very good at listening to all my commands other than the come ( as in come back) one!!! And I'm at my wits end - this is truly a battle of the wills and I'm losing......I think it's at the point were he will no longer be able to be allowed of his lead - especially as he ran off today and ended up upsetting another older whole male dog ( but IT WAS NOT SERIOUS) I felt awful - What can I do?
