A friend of mine has a young American show male. When she puts him out in a big pen to excercise, he races so much that he tears up his paw pads. This is a gravel pen. He can not be shown in the ring with sore feet. The breeder that he came from excercises her dogs with them pulling out in front of a 4-wheeler. With the Shepherds they need to pull out on the end of the lead to be judged on topline and sidegait. This boy can fly! I have heard that greyhound kennels use sand for their dogs to run on. Does anyone have any suggestions on something to put down in a big pen for him to be on so he does not tear up his pads? This boy is most likely finishable if he does not have sore feet.

My yorkshire terrier came out of kennels 6 days ago and is sneezing a lot.He had his kennel cough jab but he obviosly has a cold ,or could it be stress. His nose is actually running and he lets me wipe it with a tissue but his beard is always mucky with the wet.Last year he had a reaction to the kennel cough jab but at least this time he is not coughing ,any suggestions to help him.I dont really want a £40 bill just for a check up at vet but will if nessasary, trouble is I tend to be a bit over protective normally and the vet is making a fortune out of me .

I have 2 kittens who are brothers, I have had them since they were 1 week old (sometime in may). They both use the litter box, however one of them wants to pee in the dogs food bowl. I dont understand why, or know what to do about it. He only does this when the bowl is empty, has never done it while food id in the bowl, so when its empty I put it up. Then one day last week i came home from work int he morning and there was a plastic grocery bag in the kitchen floor the cats had been playing with the night before and while putting my things down the cat came and peed on this bag right in front of me. No clue why! I clean the litter box everyday and they both use it no question. Any ideas of why or what to do?

I am going to spray my yard with Adams Flea and Pet Yard Spray, but it's been raining. I need to mow before I spray, but how long after it rains do I have to wait? What if it rains the next day? Is it still as effective?

She squats next to the box and does her business. I have tried changing the ground around the box, changing the litter, cleaning the boxes with soap, scooping the litter three times a day (it used to be once every 1-2 days), aversion therapy (tossing a can of coins if I caught her in the act), basically everything that any website reccomended. I also clean up her messes with Natures Miracle and she has been to the vet who ran a whole bunch of tests and there is nothing wrong with her. She is 10 years old, siamese/tabby mix. I have several other cats too but my house is big and there is no fighting over food or territory usually so... I dont know what to do... Please no suggestions to get rd of her or "smart" azz comments about hating cats/killing cats/etc.

She does not do this all the time she uses the box, just about 65% of the time. She doesnt have any accidents with her bowel movements, just urination. The box is not covered, too small, too few, or crowded.

My dog is very sick. Local doctors can't do much. I would like to ask for online help and eventually find a veterinarian who is familiar with these symptoms

I just noticed my female cat throwing up. When I went to clean it up, I noticed a pinkish-red tinge to what otherwise seemed to be saliva. I recently began noticing blood in the litter box as well, on top of the stool, but I let it go because I wasn't sure which of my cats was doing it, and I didn't think it was occuring often enough or in great enough amounts to cause concern, especially considering how low I am on funds.

Please don't just tell me to "go to the vet." I know that. I'm not a moron. I'm taking her as soon as I can tomorrow morning, as there are no emergency vet clinics in my area. I am simply asking to see if there's anything I can do until then to alleviate any pain she might be having.

One of our cats has worms, and we can't figure out which one, but all of our cats are indoor-only, and have been indoor-only for over a year, and just recently aquired worms. The cats all chase down flies and catch them and eat them, but if this causes worms, then why is it only one of our cats has worms? All of our cats do that!
