My dog is very sick. Local doctors can't do much. I would like to ask for online help and eventually find a veterinarian who is familiar with these symptoms

The cannot do MUCH? What does that mean?.. I suspect you called around and don't want to take your dog in.. You really need to take it to an emergency vet if it is afterhours, or to a regular vet NOW.

Nobody online can examine your dog, or give you a diagnosis without SEEING your dog.. PERIOD!

You should phone the Veterinary Hospital, look in the Yellow Pages, and ask your question. Some are open 24 hours.

I tried an Online Vet service for my fish and they wanted me to pay for an answer to my question prior to answering my question. They didn't reply until later in the afternoon the next day after my emailed question. My fish had already died earlier that morning. .

go to the vets if they cannot help which i dont see how they cant they can refer you for specialist treatment in the area it is needed you cant get your dog checked over the internet.if you stil get no joy from any of the vets in your area the only other option is to get in touch with the rcvs and ask them to help you find a vet or they may tell you to come to one of the university campases as they have just about every specialist going there on site but you really do need to get to the vet asap. let us all know how it goes

It depends on where you are in the country. If you are anywhere near a veterinarian university, they will have research facilities and may be able to help you...for a price.
One of my dearest friends lives in GA and ended up using the University facilities in Atlanta who accurately diagnosed and cured something that had been misdiagnosed previously.
Good luck to you!!

So sorry to hear about your dog.
Generally, at least one vet in an area has an 'emergency room' for pets. They may be used to diagnosing faster than a standard vet appointment visit. good luck

nope...and I can't believe none of your local vets can help you. Go to a specialist if you have to. NO good vet will give you advise over the internet...

Your local vets should know how to get in touch with a specialist...

What exactly is wrong with your dog that your local vet cannot help you with?

Seems kinda odd to me.
