Pet washes are made of a powder cleanser. This same method can be used on humans that are not able to get up or have been only cleaned in strategic areas with a cloth;usually the elderly or sick. Strangely enough, although more harsh, dry cleaning your clothes uses a somewhat similar method. Watch those claws!

I have used pet wipes on my 2 cats. But I do give them a bath also about every 6 to 8 months and then brush them out really well. It cuts down on shedding a lot.

If u r trying to clean the cat without wateer. Talcum powder shaken on to the cat then wiped off, or brushed out will take the dirt out. Like dry shampoos that u can get for humans.

Try the pet section of your local grocery store. They make a kind of powder that you put on your cat and wipe off.

I've never washed my cats and they've stayed clean. If they are dirty, I just use a wet washer to wet their fur. It gets some of the dirt out and induces them to start grooming themselves very thoroughly. If they dry out and stop grooming and are still dirty, use the wet washer again to wet the fur. Also brushing or combing can help them along, especially when they're losing their winter coat.

You can get waterless shampoo from most pet stores (PetsMart, Petco, etc). It works great, just follow the directions on the bottle.
Or if you can afford it, take him/her to the vet or groomer for a bath and you dont have to get dirty at all.

They make a special wipe for cats. Sort of like a baby wipe.

Most pet stores sell a waterless spray on shampoo for cats.
I would STRONGLY suggest using that instead of making your own.
