he quite a playful chap and like to bite and pull on clothing which is upsetting our 3 yo girl. I assume that this is just puppy play but I need to know how to get him out of the habit of biting.

whan i got my dog i thought he would calm down after a few weeks, but he just got worse. jumping up fences, barking all day long, biting scratching just not listening to a word i said!!, and the last straw came when he attacked the dog next door. i thought the best thing was to have him rehomed but im feeling really guilty now hes not here. i feel like the worst person in the world, i just wounded if anyone else has been through this and how did you cope???? thank you

I need a bit of help with my tortoise. He keeps eating stones. Does it help his digestion or something like that?

Also, can anyone reccomend how to get him to drink? He doesn't seem to ever want to drink. I try to offer him a drink about three times weeky, but he never drinks, just poos in the water.

I have two dogs, a female and a male ... they are living indoors and i'm out most of the time. They don't pee regularly just after meals. I live in the Philippines and it's quite hot, they do drink a lot of water which makes them pee a lot too. They do know where they should pee (just a storeroom, they just go there by themselves and to their business) ... but the odor is getting worse. I need some homemade deodorizer or something that may be available not only in wal-mart or pet shops ... (pet-shops here are not that complete) ... thaks a lot for any reply ...

He loves to pee on the doormat, in the laundry basket and on any clothes left on the floor. We washed the mat and sprayed 'Cat-a-Pult' on it, but it didn't work, this is the real problem as obviously we can put the other stuff out of reach for him! He does also use his litter tray, which we do change regularly and remove any excess mess as it happens virtually, he just seems to enjoy peeing on fabric!

Here’s how it works: he generally tries to bite my hands, not though that he actually ever really bites them, and I try to wrestle him down. My only rule is never to give up first. He prefers playing this way to any other though he likes to fetch as well. When I don’t feel like playing I tell him NO and he gets it, usually then he brings me a toy. He is now a year and 2 months, and since I read that it’s in his nature to try at a certain point to be a dominant male, should I stop doing it? He’s a family dog but I spend most time with him and he listens to me most etc., so let’s say that I am his owner (female, 22y, if it makes any difference). Any wisdom?

my psycho kitten gets in my plants (and everything else). i don't want to use mothballs (poisonous) or buy a spray (expensive and may not work). i've read that cats don't like tea leaves and tried that but my cat actually ate them. i'm at wits end with her. any other suggestions I could try (other than killing the cat)?

I'm getting a pet rat. Any tips for me? It's only a small one.
I've never had a rat before so I'd like to know a bit more about them.

It's 3:20am in 3 hours my little daughter will wake up to play with her beloved "Snowball"......problem is I just went to get a glass of water and he´s dead. What do I tell her?? How do I explain death to her, she's only 3.

Also, any ideas how he could have died?? we bought him a week ago, he had been eating and drinking without problems.
