I alternate feeding with bloodworms and fish food.

Basic fish food from the local supermarket is best. But you can give them the odd feed of bloodworms it won't hurt them.

bloodworms are excellent nutrition for all fishes, including goldfish. Prepared fish food is less messy, equally nutritious, and more convenient than bloodworms though.

truthfully enough you can feed a goldfish just about any thing that isn't poisonous from crushed dog or cat food to stail crackers the thing is to not always change their diet because it could stress them out and they may die. try to avoid any oily foods that could also kill the goldfish

my fish get both,,but the bloodworms are a treat for them as the b-worms don't contain the needed vitamins that fish need daily,,i also toss in a few shrimp pellets now and then.....

you can either as they are really nothing but a common old carp...and if you have heard anything about carps feeding habits then you know they will eat anything...
