Recently my wife confessed she had an affair a year ago with a guy she met on the internet. At least she thought it was going to be an affair. When she went to meet him in New York he kept her in a hotel room for 3 days while he and 2 other men raped her repeatedly. She only confessed because he started calling her and threatening to tell me about everything if she did not go to see him again. I tried to work things out but she just became more and more distant. After 2 weeks she moved out and now I can't even get her to talk. Do I keep trying to letting her know that I still love her and want to work things out or do I just leave her alone?

I heard that when we experience De Ja Vu in our lives, we are getting a "reading" or a "sample" of our pre-determined life. I'm very skeptical but the invidual gave a good example:

Imagine going on a road trip from point A to point B. You've never been to the destination so you use a map as a guide. In the map, you also find some markers that gives you a "reading" that you're on the set path. So, as you go along this trip and hit these markers, they are reminding you that your are where you're supposed to be.

If you look at De Ja Vu events in your life, could they not be markers in your road trip of life?

Or i's (sic) it a new fashion to be putting an inverted comma before every "s" these days? Do people not know the differnce in meaning between, for example, "Schools" (means more than one school) and "School's" (means belongs to the school, as in "That school's record is poor")?

I even saw a recruitment advert the other day asking for "Chef's... with skills" - i.e. they pluralised "chef" with ('s) but not "skill". Do people no longer bother to proof-read things?

I accept I may be turning into a grumpy old man, but surely I'm not the only one who finds this poor?

I think the police could prosecute them for having a defective indicating system. If they say 'but look they work' when they flick it in front of the officer then they should also be prosecuted for driving without due consideration for other road users.

And it is ALWAYS volvo's............. why ?.

(HGV Volvo drivers excepted guy's..... you know where your indicators are !)

I intend to collect blood samples from large number of mice for my experiment. I want to preserve these samples for several months because I may will need later to check the level of several protiens in it (by western blot or ELISA). What is the best way to preserve it? Freezing? Whole blood or serum or plasma? -80 degree or liquied nitrogen?

What kind of sense is this? How can a market make a profit when there is nothing to sell? Bare shelves, bare floors, no inventory? Business101 tells you that you have to have a product to sell to generate profit. Boy, am I worried about my 401. Oops, hold on....Someone else is talking...What?.....You mean it's a bear not bare market?....OK....But that's even worse. How many people want to buy a bear?
