Is there a winner in the end or are there only LOOSERS?

Ok soooooo this post is in response to a question about a speech someone wrote claiming the evils of racing and how she spent weeks researching how evil it was and how accurtae her information was. Why do people think that the click of a mouse and a search engine gives them ALL the knowledge and answers to a certain topic and suddenly makes them an expert? I'm so tired of seeing posts about how cruel and inhumane and evil racing is , when I guarentee you the people claiming this have either never seen a race or the work that goes into these horses in person, or they have only seen the FREAK ACCIDENTS that have happened and therefore deem the entire sport as horrible and cruel. Am I the only one who thinks this?

What is the area of the racetrack where horses are prepped before they race? For example, if I were walking through the property and saw one of the contenders being checked by a vet just before the race, what would that area of the facility be called? This could be either in the US or the UK -- if the terms are different please specify. Thank you.

Been making a small extra income betting the horses in England for 4 years now. Made a profit of £3,149, £4,284, £2,961 and £3,392 (so far this year).

Not a fortune is it, so just wondered if I could sell the methods I use for extra income. I was thinking about a small report or guide that would be about a dozen pages long. Is there a market and how much would it sell for?

Best answer chosen by me will get a free copy of one of my methods. It is one that will be in the guide or report, if and when I write it.

Any tips or advice to look for when doing each way in horse racing? Am going to start doing an each way double and each way singles everyday but was wondering if theres anything that might help? Not too bothered about not winning but coming 2nd or 3rd would be good. Maybe certain courses are best to bet on, age of horse, if they have visors or blinkers, the weight etc Thanks

Many years ago -- it was probably in the 30's or 40's -- that a member of my family wrote a mildly popular song about a horse that "ran the other way" during a race. I'd love to find that song. I have no idea of the title.

He has had all the injections that the vet has advised. But he still moves as though he is sore. We have had the farrier out and he recomended and placed "pads" under his shoes to absorb the impact on the track. He has had alot of problems with his feet and legs, all have been treated by a vet and a farrier. Does anyone have anyother ideas on what could be done to assist him. He loves to race and would do it on 3 legs if we did not stop him. He is the most loving horse, more a pet than a racer. Thank you for your assistance with his problem, I hope you can help him

The only horse in the race that has proven it can win, twice and one of them at the distance.

At least 10-1 available and that makes it excellent value. I have a ton on the nose, hope I don't catch a cold!

He died Monday night. One of only 2 jockeys (the other was Eddie Arcaro) to win the Kentucky Derby 5 times. Probably his greatest mount was the great Northern Dancer, who won it in 1964.

RIP
