Curlin will win horse of the year for thoroughbreds, which is the Eclipse Award for Horse of the Year. He came in 2nd-1st-2nd in the Triple Crown races. Then he beat Lawyer Ron in the Jockey Club Gold Cup. He finished off the year by winning the Breeders' Cup Classic. The Eclipse Awards will be announced on January 26, 2008.

There is a Harness horse of the year, for Standardbreds, but I do not know who will win, as I do not follow harness racing. It seems that neither the Trotter or Pacer Triple crowns were won this year, so that leaves multiple horses vying for the honor. The Standardbred Awards are called the Dan Patch Awards. They are voted on by the U.S Harness writers Association. They will be announced on January 27, 2008, at Dover Downs.

nicely, at the beginning, evaluate the destiny. Horses can stay for 25-35 years. they seem to be a great cost, and in case you get this horse now, are you going to pay for it and its upload-ons and nutrients and such? What happens once you pass to college or pass out and get a activity far off from the place your mom and father stay? Will you're making sufficient funds and have sufficient unfastened time to be waiting to guard your horse as quickly as you have an entire-time interest or are a pupil at a school? you may incredibly ask your mom and father right, and it will in all probability help in case you do a good number of study approximately expenses and boarding information, yet this might fairly come all the way down to whether or no longer they like a horse for themselves, because of the fact interior the subsequent ten years (i'm guessing), you would be out of the abode and not waiting to guard the pony your self as plenty.

When it comes time for the awards they NEVER put TB's and Standardbreds into the same category. The awards don't even come at the same time, at least not here in the US.

Curlin will win this year hands down! Even though this was the best round of 3 yo's to come along in a long time, I don't believe any other horse will come close to him vote wise. He took the Preakness, was in a heads on duel for the Belmont and then took the BC Classic. I would be shocked if any other horse won.

2007 Horse of the year belongs to the brillant Curlin. He has showed America how great he became in only one year of racing!! He did so awsome, I loved him so much and I don't think there's another horse out there besides Curlin that should own that award.
I love him and I'm so proud of who he proved wrong.
