Oh dear oh dear, most of you seem to be forgetting that a racehorse's name can be no longer than 18 characters, including spaces, and cannot use digits.
My personal favourites, that have been banned by Weatherbys - the racing admin people in GB - are:
Joe Blob, Mary Hinge, Wearthefoxhat (say it fast in an irish accent and you'll see why!)

"Wings of the Morning"........a favourite film about a racehorse which I saw as a child. It turned me on to racing.......not forgetting the film National Velvet every little girls dream. I think "Wings of the morning" is a Biblical reference though I can't quite remember where it comes from now. The passage was read at Iris Murdock's funeral.......just to give you another useless fact, and nothing at all to do with racing.
