What kind of sense is this? How can a market make a profit when there is nothing to sell? Bare shelves, bare floors, no inventory? Business101 tells you that you have to have a product to sell to generate profit. Boy, am I worried about my 401. Oops, hold on....Someone else is talking...What?.....You mean it's a bear not bare market?....OK....But that's even worse. How many people want to buy a bear? For crying out loud, THAT is a stupid marketing ploy. Riiiight, like I want to buy a bear.

You got me excited for a minute. I thought that you meant that the NYSE had gone clothing optional (a "bare" market). Now, I am rather disappointed to read that you mean a "bear" market. I had visions of brokers and traders and board markers all running around in their birthday suits. Now, that would be news!
