Has it been out for a walk and picked up something and eaten it. when my pup was 7month old. he was really ill he couldn't keep food or water done with lots of trip to the vet the conclusion was the vets didn't have a clue what was wrong with him but he was ok.
He was on a drip for 3 days, he could barely stand and the vet wasn't sure if he was going to make it, the puppy had lots of injection and x-ray still could find any thing. he was cut open and stitched back together but they didn't find anything.
Your puppy may well need the same so for your sack i hope that it is insured as the vet bill are very high.
Carry on feed it chicken and rice make sure it is a least keeping down water.
Hope it soon get better our did and you would never know that it was ill.

this happened to my puppy (she is 8 months) I was told to do the same and the vet gave her some pills to stop the sick feeling. She also refused the rice and chicken. My little girl was eating a sandwich and gave her the crust (which she ate, to my shock). It was wholemeal bread (white will constipate her) so the first night she ate a piece soaked in water. I took her to vets the next morning (she had the runs and sickness for 4 days) and they suggested egg to go with the bread if that was all she would eat.
So I made 2 scrambled eggs (easiest in the micrwave for 1 minute 30 seconds) and mixed this with 1 cup of porridge oats made with water (or you can use chicken stock)
she ate this and was happy to eat this (still turns her nose up at chicken and rice). I was also told by my vet that it isn't ideal but it is healthy and will be fine to feed her untill I can get her back onto dog food.
let me know how you get on

You got to make sure you are keeping plenty of fluids in the puppy. Try using a dropper. You can use pop icicle sticks as well. The puppy will eventually get hungry but give him small amounts. Don't over feed the puppy or he will become bloated and even worse off. Chicken broth is good cause it is a fluid and have the nutrients needed. Try a little piece of food every couple of hours, but make sure you are always putting fluids in him.

Sounds like you do not trust your vet. Call another vet and get a second opinion and do try the baby food it will sometimes help. Make sure you offer plenty of fresh water as your puppy will get dehydrated very quickly. Please contact the vet very soon as your puppy needs some help before the worse can happen.

this puppy needs looking at i suggest that you go back to the vets even if you see a different vet as if this puppy is not eating theres something going on that shoulnt be he may by now be dehidrated he will need to have some sort of blood tests done and even a parvo test as parvo is now on the increase had a similar story here and had to keep in on drips with glucose to feed as it was a problem with intestines( op required ) so please go back to the vets asap.let us know how it goes

Go straight back to the vet, the poor thing will be totally dehydrated by now too, the vet would have been better keeping it in overnight himself just to keep a close eye on it, hope its much better soon and all is well.

get yourself another vet right away, in the meantime try baby food chicken and rice also make sure the little guy is getting plenty of fresh water.
some pups do get sick from shots but if your vet was a good one he would have told you this and had you bring your pup right in.
Get another vet right now!!!
good luck!

That does not sound good. Definitely try another vet for a second opinion. Sounds like parvo. Hope it works out. :(
