Can your dog mimic sirens?

Question

My lab will make a funny noise whenever a police car or ambulance passes. It doesn't make any sense. She started doing it about a month ago, and now she tries to mimic the siren whenever one passes.

Can someone explain this.

Well, I can't really explain it, but my two dogs to that for the Tornado Sirens that come on for one minute every Saturday at exaclty 12:00. They howl along with it. Don't be too worried about it.
I'll bet a lot of dogs do it. :-)

I used to live across the street from two dogs that both mimicked the sounds of sirens. (A beagle and a Corgi... the Hellhound and the Ci Annwn, I called 'em. Annoying little creatures, both.) I don't know whay they did it, unless they thought the sirens were other dogs howling.

Your dogs needs to be responsive to he's secure, yet he additionally needs to be responsive to he won't be able to make the sound. Fill a twig bottle with water and any time he does it while you're around, spray him in the face. He ought to end. MUST HAVE SOME SIMILAR FAMILIAR SOUND.....OUR DOGS ALL DO THAT WHENEVER THE WARNING PRACTICE GOES OFF AT 2 OCLOCK EACH WEEK....ITS KIND OF FUNNY ISNT IT....THEY HOWL LIKE IT UNTIL IT GOES OFF AND ALL THE NEIGHBORS DOGS CHIME IN TOO
