I hear so many people on here critisizing others and quoting the "breed standard". Alot has come from one answerer, GetEmGang, who does nothing more than insult others and seems to offer no intelegent advice. Who determined these standards? Unless someone is showing a dog professionally, do most average people care if their purebreed dog matches the breedstandard? As far as appearance goes, it is a personal opinion. By "breed standards" my male Siberian Husky has the markings, coat, and eye color considered as one of the "standards", but that doesn't mean that he is a better dog, than say my sons mutt. Dogs should be chosen because the person loves them, thinks they are beautiful regardless of some breeds standard made up, and because they have a great personality. Why is such a big deal made over this with some people?

OK we have been bombing and spraying lemon juice (lemon juice seems to be working better than the bombs). Anything else I can do to help break the life cycle and get RID of these fleas w/o hiring a service? We have been vaccuuming twice a day as well.

Thanks!

My cat has been doing something weird lately, and I have no idea what is going on. She is a 2 1/2 year old spayed cat. She only has started doing this lately, and there isn't anything wrong with her health. When she lays down, her back legs will start moving. She sleeps on her side on her back and it does this no matter how she sleeps. They move up and down or back and forth, depending on her position. It's only her back legs too. Any advice on what is going on?

She was outside for a while and then she started breathing heavy. I brought her in. Then she would go into a corner of the room which she never does and then she kept breathing heavy so I gave her some water. She has been drinking for the past half hour and she is still breathing heavy. PLEASE HELP.

I'm not sure I'm willing to inharate him. (For those who don't know what inharate means, I'm not really sure I want to take him when she passes on.)

I was just wondering, when I get some different fish in my tank with my betta fish, how will i feed each fish without them eating each others? It's always been a mystery to me.

Did you know that dogs are 7 years more advanced than a child ? Try it. Get a child under 5 and teach him the same trick you teaching your dog. Believe me, the dog will learn it faster and better than a child would.
It took me 2 weeks to teach my dogs many tricks including opening the doors, answering the phone, house rules, open the fridge and even when wet, they wait outside till their feet got dried up. I wonder how long it takes to teach a kid all these tricks?

My Niece has lived with this cat all of her life and is crazy about the cat. We thought she had Asthma and we took her to get an allergy test and she is allergic to cats.. I don't know what to do. I have had the cat for 18 years and it is not a loving cat it doesn't like to be held by anyone...yet he lets my neice carry him all over the place.

What should I do? She does not want me to get rid of him. If I do who would want a 18 year old cat that has to be indoor because he is declawed and not affectionate.

Any Suggestions?
