Any puppy or adult dog that barks continuously will drive you and everybody around it mad. And for this dog it is probably separation anxiety. We have a dog that constantly barked and drove the neighbours crazy so bad we were on A Current Affair for the noisiest dog in the neighbour hood. Neighbours were taking us to court!! Not only did we have to have training but the dog caught on very fast. Dogs have to be trained to understand good dog and bad dog. THIS REALLY WORKS. Only ever praise using his name.. When it barks you have to use a tone like a bark (you have to say barrr) in deep authoritative tone. It may sound stupid but it works. When it has responded well to your command then you praise by saying good (what ever the dogs name is and pat the dog) Always praise your dog using his name for good, never use his name when he is bad. You use there name for both and they cant distinguish if there good or bad. Some one else suggested you use a soda can with coins. We used that as the secondary follow up if it didn't take instructions from the verbal command. Remember only use the dogs name for praise. This method worked for us within half and hour.

Any attention to the barking is reinforcing the behavior. You need to start praising her for being quiet. Randomly in the day (when she is quiet), say her name then say, "good girl, no barking", and give her a treat.
Put 10 pennies in a soda can and tape it shut. When she is barking shake the can and say "enough", or "that'll do". You want to pick a word that she hasn't heard yelled at her 100 times before. IF she stops barking and looks at you (trying to find that terrible noise) praise like crazy and give her a treat. If she ignores you, toss the can so that it lands near her (don't pelt her with it), she should startle and stop barking momentarily, praise and treat. When she has her mouth full of treat say again, "good (use her name), no barking".
Repeat EVERYTIME she barks. The key here is consistency. Get the whole family involved. Make a couple of the penny cans. You have to correct and praise every time, otherwise she will stop paying attention to the can and you.
You also have to exersize her and keep her from getting bored. Get the toys that dispense food as the dog rolls them on the floor. Get a few in different styles for interest and switch them out every few days. Walks and playtime will help too.
Good Luck

Only think I can reccommend is that when you put it up for bedtime (works best in a different room/ not in a kennel). Constant noise will put then to sleep every time! Try an old alarm clock (the kind that makes alot of noise when the second hand is moving), or, if you don't have that, put a portable radio in there and set it on a station (low volume). Good luck!
P.S.- During the day, try to make her a lap dog if she'll let you. That'll clalm her down some.

it is a puppy and it is excited!!! thats what they do and no amount of shouting at it, smacking it, squirting it with water, or telling it to "shut up" will stop it. It is an animal, not a human and will not understand this. Instead, try distracting it with a squeaky toy, or giving it a quiet, calm cuddle - no jumping about or making it play. they love cuddles and close contact when pups so pay it attention. U don't say how long you have it for but with correct training it should grow out of it.
Good luck

Benadryl. It really works to help calm a dog if it is anxious. Also, if the dog has allergies. Our big dog that is 80 lbs gets one capsule in a piece of people food and he thinks its great. But you need to be careful as to how much you give the puppy. If it is a large puppy maybe 1 cap or tab. If med size 1/2 tab or 1/4 tab.

This worked for my lab:
Fill a squirt bottle (can be purchased at the dollar store) with water. Tell her once firmly "Quiet" and if she doesn't listen squirt her. Odds are she won't like it and get the message, plus, it does no harm to the dog.
Also, when she's quiet be sure to pet her as a reward so she won't bark for attention.

Wish I knew what breed of dog. We have a small pom and we have found that taking him by the nap of the neck and pulling him up like their own mother did and saying no, no, no, as we gently shake him has worked great. We call it scruffing. It does not hurt them but shows authority and it sure has worked for us.
