How do you feel about dressing up dogs anytime, costumes for a special occasion, or on a regular basis. i can understand short-haired breeds in the winter, but other than that

As you may be aware, the SPCA started a petition to the Prime Minster of Malaysia to raise the cruelty fine from RM200 to a significantly higher fine of around RM10,000.00. The petition, which included the signatures of supporters, was supposed to be handed to the Prime Minister in October 2004. However, this has not happened, as we only managed to raise 20,000 signatures.

Due to the insufficient number of signatures collected during the first phase of this petition, the SPCA is entering a second phase in hope to collect at least 100,000 signatures locally and internationally.

Therefore, we are now entering a phase II stage of the petition whereby we would like you to join our effort for this cause. Please download the petition forms. Kindly photocopy it and distribute it for signatures to be collected. The more names we have, the better.

On behalf of the animals, TQ very much for your support.

Please sign the petition at http://www.catzmedia.com/spca/petitions/index.asp#support

My older dog, died at 14, just 2 weeks ago, and my older son, Mikey, grew up with that dog(Mikey is 15) My daughter, sam, who is 8, wants another dog. My son says that it's okay, he is over our other dog, but he doesn't act like it, I think he is just putting on an act for sam, because she really wants a dog, VERY BADLY. I'm not sure what to do. Is it too soon, I was thinking of getting a little dog(the dog before was a saint bernard) so it wouldn't remind him of his old dog, but i am still not sure.

I have a story from Winnipeg Manitoba there a cat named buddy who has been stuck in a tree for three days and i have no help from city to get him down. I phoned winnipeg police fire department, manitoba hydro, pet controll, winnipeg humane society and no one will help. He is so scared and crying all day and night. the sun beats down on him all day sometimes i look at him and he looks dead. How humane can people be. I would think that is abuse just to leave this poor cat in the beating sun all day. and not to for get to mention the frezzing nights we have now. The cat is so exhausted and worn out i dont think hell make any longer. To tire her out before training her, I ride my bike while she is on a leash, and hold the leash tight enough that she wont pull. I have heard that working breeds love this, but is it okay to make her run at that speed(not full speed, but running) for the whole walk?

Our dog got fleas and we have used frontline plus and prior given him about 5 flea baths nothing worked he still has them. We have been leaving him outdoors trying to rid the problem from him but somehow they came in the house on us. We have bombed the house 2x a week apart used sprays and powders and still no luck. We have a 1 year old child and so we have to take care of the problems ASAP. We have to keep her out when we have done any of this stuff and there is no way that I can keep her off the floor for 3 days try the Borax remedy. We are sick of getting biten and are at our WITS END. HELP PLEASE!?

He barks, at the door bell, when people come into the house, next door neighbours, he is jack russel / staffy mix.

He is a rescue dog, and has been badly treated and beaten in the past, so some training may be unsuitable.

He is a lovely Dog, loves food, love and warmth, due to his past of being mistreated and starved on the streets. Due to his passion for all things edible, we have taught him to beg, sit and stay.

In my opinion this is his only fault, would be great if he didnt bark so much and awaken my 3 month old baby!

He is a better pet then most people think.
He sleeps in a ball like a big pill bug.
