Not a good thing. My guess it is setting on someones bird feeder at this minute. But I know conures will not buddie up with just anyone so till he finds the person he likes he will be in the wild. I would keep the cage outside for a couple of days and ask around and maybe even put signs on polls around the area. You can never tell someone might be nice enough to give it back to you but most would just keep the bird or would expect a large reward. No body does anything out of the goodness of their hearts anymore.
Maybe some good ones are left and will give your bird back.

Put her cage outside with food in it and lots of her favorite toys and treats. I've heard of them coming back home. If you see her in your yard, she's gonna be extemely freaked out and she may try to fly away from you even though she desparately wants to be rescued by you. Try to get her very wet with the water hose so that you can catch her. Birds can't fly very well when they are wet. Or grab a beach towel and try to catch her with that.
Put a large reward in the paper. Make sure that the reward that you offer is more than one can buy of bird of this species. Call all of the animal shelters in your city.
Don't give up. I've heard of them coming home---- even after three months.
If anyone finds any parrot, PLEASE advertise!!! Their owner is frantically looking for their pet. Losing an old buddy can be awful for both bird and owner. Don't steal a bird just because it escaped. Be honest and try your best to find the rightful owner.

Conures are free flyers... she might come back.
Put an ad in the newspaper, and contact the local animal agencies.
If you get another bird, clip its wings.

There is no way to know. Advertise that you're missing a bird. Sometimes people find them. And don't let people put you on a guilt trip. Accidents happen.
