Give them lots of veggies, treats, wood chews, places to hide (pigloos), things to play with (eg. toilet paper roll). Whatever you do, don't get a running wheel as it will hurt the piggies' backs. The most important thing to keep them healthy and happy is to give them vitamin C tablets every day.

they like other guinea pigs of the opposite sex. They love to burrow (maybe that's what you're doing with the blanket. We used to use Kleenex boxes and hollow them out and the guinea pigs would hide in them happy as can be) they love to graze on grass when it's warm outside, they love to run around once in a while, most cages are way too small for them. Lots of fresh veggies (and salt licks) keeps them healthy and their fur shiny and happy. Just remember guinea pigs are social, that's what all the beeping is about and they sometimes need dark and their own space. Also a least a few things to chew, they have to chew though things to keep their little teeth short and healthy.

Give them treats. Get them a wood block to chew on. Get them a play area for outside for them to get fresh air. Clip their nails often and keep their cages clean.

they like attention. they do not climb and do not use exercise wheels so taking them out and petting them is really all the "entertainment" you can give them aside form tunnels and inverted boxes to hide in.

I had a friend who had one who seemed to like being outside in the grass (fenced yard, always attended, ect.).

they love being held close to their mommy and you can put them outside and let them eat grass and run around. (make sure that you stay with them and protect them from bigger predators)
