Buddy a cat stuck in tree for three days and nobody will help!!!!!!?

Question

I have a story from Winnipeg Manitoba there a cat named buddy who has been stuck in a tree for three days and i have no help from city to get him down. I phoned winnipeg police fire department, manitoba hydro, pet controll, winnipeg humane society and no one will help. He is so scared and crying all day and night. the sun beats down on him all day sometimes i look at him and he looks dead. How humane can people be. I would think that is abuse just to leave this poor cat in the beating sun all day. and not to for get to mention the frezzing nights we have now. The cat is so exhausted and worn out i dont think hell make any longer. I have pictures of buddy in the tree i can send. he was on the news tonight and radio and in the paper tommorow can you help us find someone to help him down

Call your local SPCA or the fire departement, they will help.

I tried to get people to help me get my first cat down from a tree, but was told nobody does that anymore and a neighbor remarked that the cat would eventually get down, afterall, you don't see trees full of cat skeletons. The cat did come down. Unfortunately, there are so many cats to help, that it's likely thought, that if the cat isn't smart enough to come down, then it isn't going to make it anyway. Life is hard and this, too, would be hard to watch. I am sorry. It is sad that we, apparentally, can't help every living thing, that needs help. I hope the cat figures it out in time.

That is so sad. I'm sorry you had to see that and he has to expeirience it. I would get a ladder if the tree was short enough and get the cat down myself. If it isn't short enogh im sorry but just keep pressuring the police and fir department. I'll pray about it for you! Good luck

Get a ladder and climb up there to get him your self, Your precise it extremely is animal abuse to pass away the cat stranded contained in the tree...you could desire to pass get a extensive ladder, or ask around your community for one. Do you have an animal rescue, or something, or perhaps ring up some shape workers and tell them you will pay them 2 retrieve your cat, any buisness it extremely is relaxing and would have extreme equipment , you will desire to evaluate calling..

In a similar case I remember, somebody climbed up with the cat and then the authorities had to rescue both of them. I don't know whether the person got in any trouble for doing this.

Good, if you got it into the news you can bet someone will now help. I can't believe the fire dept wouldn't help you out, those guys are usually so good about that stuff. My hubby is fire fighter and if we were there I know he would have helped you. Please let me know if this is taken care of tomorrow, he might have some contacts. No promises but I sure try...hang in there buddy.

This is terrible. Why don't you try getting him down yourself with a ladder or you could attempt climbing the tree-juz don't get stuck 2. Call the SPCA if you can't get him down yourself, it's their job to help. Also try your best to get food and esp. water to him. Pray for help, the Lord is always there to help.

I think Patti is right, now its all over the papers, someone is bound to help. Maybe it will also shame to police, fire dep and animal control into doing something. Please let us know how you get on.
