The 1st one jumped out 2 days after we got it, the butterfly grew to about 10 inches and jumped out the day after we cleaned the pond. Pond is about 5 feet around and 2 1/2 feet deep.Is it too small for koi? Not cleaned enough? Anyone know what we did wrong?

I have two cats already Betty and Bodi. We are getting my friends kittens and there is no turning back. One of my cats is a nervous breakdown and meows all the time and run through the house out one door and in the other. Is it the thing missing from her life or is it a bad idea?

I keep them in a large tank which has a ramp allowing them to climb out. We recently put a combustion heater in our family room and now Tiptup likes to climb out of the tank onto the ramp. She never did this before. Why do turtles do this? The water is cooler than the ambient temperature so it isn't because she is too hot. Is it to bask in the heat? If you don't know the answer do you know any websites I can refer to?

When we lived in the city, our dog knew the difference between side walks and streets and now that we moved to the country there are no side walks. So now she runs out in the street and she has almost been hit by cars. How can we train her to fear cars?

How often do I need to wash chew toys? I am talking about the plush kind and the rope kind. I want to toss them in the washing machine, but I am afraid that my dog won't want to chew them any more. They were relatively in expensive...is it best to just replace them after awhile?

Does anyone else have a dog that is obsessed with chewing plastic cups like the kind you get at concerts or the mall?

I have bought my son a betta last weekend. Checked the water quality and all that stuff and put the fish in the tank. It is about a 1 1/2 gallon tank. Plenty of room for a betta. However he swims over to the fake plant thingy I have in there and near the surface and lays on a leaf up against the side of the tank. I found him one morning laying on the thermometer. Each time I think he is dead because his fins stop wiggling and everything. Is there something I need to be checking about the water quality or his diet? Or is it possible that this fish is just lazy?

I've poked and prodded and isolated the problem to his front left paw, second digit. I can't *see* anything wrong... if its broken (possible, he likes to jump the fence) can anything be done to help him? Or is it just like our toes... just have to tough it out?

Im cleaning my beta's fish bowl (and rocks) and was wondering if you can clean the rocks (which are disgusting) with dish soap. If not, how could you get them cleaned real good?

He is a two year old Lab that has flees but nothing has worked to get rid of them. I also have a Great Dane,Blond Lab,and a Jack Russel none of the other dogs are having this problem. I live in Indiana and have in the past been told by my vet that it could be a fungus(other Black Lab had it years ago) but it does not look the same .Is there anything I can use on him or give him?

Animal testing is wrong - if the drugs are gunna be used on people then they should be tested on people.

Why should animals be used in such horrific ways??

If you agree with animal testing, you agree with putting peroxide in kittens eyelids and injecting acid into a puupys brain - then timing how long it takes them to die, and how much pain they are in.

Who are we to decide we are 'more important' than animals?? - We ARE animals, just because we are more 'intelligent' does not mean we are the only species that can feel pain and emotion - what do you think??
