I have a spaniel whos 7 months old and he chews and eats belongings he finds in our rooms! also if he sees another dog outside he sprints after it and he doesnt come back when i call him! i have to (litterally) run around the whole neighborhood on full sprint to catch him! we put him on a leesh but now and then he slips through the door as im closing it! any tips or dicipline stratigys anyone can recommend? im sure the neighbors dont like me running through there lawns to catch up to him either.

we are not mean to him at all, we kind of spoil him, we pet, feed and give him a cookie now and then.

This site has some good tips on looking after dogs. Many people also find puppy training classes useful - you could ask in your local library to see if there are any in your area.

Take a puppy course from petsmart or whatever is near you, it helps tremendously. Depending on your dog, there could be different ways to solve your problems.

He's still a puppy and full of energy. I'm sure as he gets older he will calm down

he needs to get rid of some energy in a positive way..try walking him and tiring him out. also go to "dog whisperer.com" and get help there.
