I inadvertantly left the a pan of grease on the stove, and it caught fire. The house is fine, the kids and I have cleared the smoke by opening windows and turning on fans, but the stench is acrid and horrible.

I've tried Febreeze, but still our eyes are burning. Any suggestions?

I don't drive, I cannot get to the store, and we have nowhere else to go.

I need ideas on how to clear this using products I have around the house. Thanks.

A visiting child had a mishap in the car about eight weeks ago. I did the decent thing and soaked the seat, used a disinfectant etc, but now that the weather is getting hot each time I get in the car, the distinct aroma of wee is there to greet me.

Has any body any ideas how to get rid of this smell?

It is so embarassing, I dont want any one else to get into the car at the moment!

I can't seem to stay organized and wonder how others do it? My house is big and every room is well lived in, plus I have pets. It seems like I'm always spending three straight days scrubbing and cleaning when I know I'm having company.

How do you keep your house clean?

Okay, a few details she and I had already discussed as far as what in my three bedroom home with one bath, small living room and small kitchen she would do: No windows, no dusting. Vacuuming, dishes, general pick up, disinfect the bathroom. Should take 3 to 4 hours. We had also discussed that when we settled on a price, she would start. I would pay her every two weeks, the day after I get paid, and always with cash. What would you consider fair?

I just lost a bit of weight and now my fave jeans are a bit too big. I know I should be happy about that, but is there a way for me to shrink them a bit in the wash?

of a steam generator iron?

This is a Tefal Steam Generator iron and it has a non-stick sole plate that does! Stick - that is! Any ideas on how to clean it without further damage to the non-stick (!) surface?

When we moved into our apartment, there were these stains on the floor in the bathroom, like drops of a pinkish color. Looks almost like old hair dye but it could be anything and its been there for years. Does anyone know ANY way to get rid of these stains?

Seems hard to believe that an alternative carpet cleaning solution which is cheaper isn't on the market. Has anyone used an alternative carpet cleaner in their Bissell Shampooer that is cheaper and workable?

We had a soft toy (with a magnet on the inside) on our fridge door. The toy is black and the colour has seemed to rub off onto our new white fridge in the shape of the magnet. The toy has been positioned on 3 different locations so we have a few discoloured spots on the door of our otherwise brand new looking fridge.

I have tried cleaning it with gentle cleaners (soapy) with no success. What else can I try without the risk of making it worse? Damn Panda!!!

I'm seeing a bombardment of reformulated laundry soap on the market that is no better than the original product! Could it be the laundry companies want to be more profitable by putting a lower quality soap on the market (that is worse than the original)?

This is not a regular sticker, it was translucent when I put it on and stuck very well to the window. But now is faded and looks like its falling apart, but you just can't get it off. I took teh car and had it Detailed, they called me while they were working on it and said they couldn't even get it off, they wound up giving me a discount. I just really want to remove it. I've tried razor blades, they do not remove it. I windexed it, with no luck. I used goo gone, it didn't phase it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks, and have a great day!
