I only left the clothes in the washer overnight...and immediatly rewashed them this morning!! All loads are seeming to smell this way now! Is it possible that its something else?

I would wash them over again and use vinegar or hammer baking soda but don`t use the 2 together. After you take the clothes out I would fill the washer with hot water and add baking soda and run it through a whole wash cycle. Hope this works for you!

You probably left them in the washer damp too long and, depending on the laundry room temp, they will begin to sour. Once you dry them it's almost like you dried the smell in there as well. Using a fabric softner sheet at that point may have been able to cover up the smell. In the end re-washing the load is the best option and using a fabric softner is always a good bet to add a pleasant scent to the load. Hope this helps!

Put 1/2 cup of baking sada in the water , let it sit for at least 30 minutes, Then run through the wash cycle. It should get rid of the smell.

Try soaking them in a vinegar solution overnight, then rewashing them. [ that smell is mildew, by the way - my husb left a tshirt in a cooler for several months and the mildew ate most of it!]

rinse a small load at a time with baking soda and in the future removeclothes promptly from the washer when done because it's a breeding ground for germs and germs stink.

It might not be the clothes that smell "sour".
