I'm an air freshener addict. From scented candles, to plug-ins, to essential oils, potpourri, yeah, you can say I love air fresheners.

I like the tropical scents, beachy or coconut ones because they make me feel like I am on vacation, even though I am not. :) And it puts me in a happy mood.

Citrus scents are uplifting. Vanilla is warming, but a little too heady for me.

I like Glade and Airwick, however, for a spray freshener, I just discovered Febreeze's MINT....... boy, talk about a scent that'll wake you up? It's also absolutely fantastic for getting an oniony/garlicky scent out of the kitchen after cooking!

But air fresheners get really expensive - they need to be replaced all the time.... eventually the holders get yucky, and such.

A great way to 'naturally' scent your home is to boil water with some orange peel or cinnamon sticks in it.....it's so yummy smelling and it's not as offensive to pets.

I found the perfect product that I've used for years and know dozens of other people that use it. It is a product called FRIDGE IT carbon odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great. The carbon literally absorbs and eliminates the odors and works for a long time. It works so much better than all those sprays and plug in fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Also, alot of sprays have warning statements about being eye irritant. and gels and oils that say keep away from fabric, etc. and just don't eliminate odors. Just put a a few of these around the house near problem areas. . I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it. Definitely worth trying

I love air fresheners, I use the Glade Plug-In type that has three fragrances, in floral scents. They are not over powering and because they change every 30 Min's i don't get sick of the smell. I also use Glade Slow Release fragrances in secret spots around the house. I like my house to smell clean and fresh. I live in a unit so sometimes it can get a bit stuffy. I also like the atmosphere it creates.

I have the glade plug in fans, incense, candles, room spray/febreeze.

I have the plug in fans next to our puppy area and in the bathroom, both of those are the rainshower fresh scent.

The incense is in the living room, and I stick with the hearty, original incense smells. That gets used daily.

The room spray/febreeze I use every other day to eliminate smoke smell... I have my own mixture of fabric softener and water in a spray bottle that makes the furniture/beds smell like they have just been washed.

Candles are used only when there is company. Im forgetful and am always afraid I'll leave a candle burning when I leave lol.

That sounds like a lot, but walking into our front door you would never know that 2 smokers live here!

I prefer candles, but occasionally use glade spray. I hate the wisp (not worth the money) and the plug in things have been found to be fire hazards so don't use anything electrical!
