I am staying at my friend's place and she has an old twin tub washing machine. Did I mention I am in China so the instructions are all in Chinese.

How to correctly use a twin tub washing machine?

What would be the best way to store the clothes so they don't get smelly and moldy. Plastic containers w/ covers or something else.

One lady told me that & she said it's because they "have" to be machine washed & go through cycles.

I have no money or transportation to go to the laundromat.

Here's my problem. For some reason, all of my shirts are turning orange in the washing machine. My mom does the laundry, yet she can't explain why it happens. I do not own a single orange shirt, nor does anyone else in the house. Yet my shirts continually come out with orange patches around the collar. Nobody else's shirts - just mine. This has been an on going problem for the past 5 or 6 years. One shirt after another falls victim to the orange patch. At first we thought it was just clothes from old navy... even some of my pants from there (grey ones) began to show orange spots.

Now we have found that it happens to any and all of my clothes. What could be the problem? Does anyone know why this affects only my clothes and no others in the wash???

A few weeks ago i bought some black leathery K-Swiss shoes, and a few days ago they started smelling like a cat peed in them. I dont have a cat so im not sure why it smells like that. ive tried all kinds of things to get the smell out. ive constantly sprayed them with febreeze and that just made it smell like flowers AND cat piss. ive put pet oder remover powder in them and that didnt help. ive filled up some panty hose with kitty litter and stuffed that in them and it isnt really helping. I really need to know how to get the smell out and i dont want to buy new shoes.

My boyfriend bought us a brand new headboard for $100 at a thrift store. It is $1,200 at Raymour and Flanigan. I hate it, he's not in love with it, but got it because it's so cheap. We've had it for a couple of months. I would rather make a headboard from scratch. We could sell it to someone for a few hundred dollars. He's just such a pack rat that I don't know what to do. I've already got him to throw out an old ugly couch, a futon from college, and a papsan chair. I'm a minimalist, and he's a pack rat. When I organize all his junk, it's turns into a horrible mess again in a week or two. Help!!

All I'm looking for is a vacuum cleaner that does what it's supposed to do--suck up dirt. Is there one brand better than the others? What about this dyson brand that's way expensive? is it worth the price?

I have a very expensive Turkish rug that has a smell even after a professional cleaning from a past roommate's cat or dog that I used to live with... I have heard of enzyme based cleaners that are supposed to be very effective at neutralizing all odor. I looked and there are many brands out there. Which is best?

Please don't answer with a can of elbow grease!! Obviously you no absolutely nothing about owning a pop-up camper!!
We have a rockwood which is also flag staff now, have followed all the procedures of air flow, never put camper away with any moisture, etc... We opened our camper and have large spots of mildew, using a mild detergent doesn't put a dent into the cleaning process! Has anyone found a better way or product that does not effect the waterproofing on the canvas?????
Thank You in advance for the help!!!!
Smiles, A mother who likes to keep things very clean!!!

My mom washed a cast-iron pan we just got with soap and water. The next morning there was this funky orange residue left on the bottom of the pan. What is the proper way to wash a pan? And is it okay to use soap in the future, since not using it grosses me out? :D thanks

I have two area rugs that need cleaned. They aren't stained, just a bit dingy looking from my lab laying on them. One is a jute type rug, 8x10, and the other is a mixed type blend 7x9, it does have some wool in it. I was just wondering if I could use my hand held steamer, I have a Shark Steamer, to clean these? Will it hurt them?
If I do this, what should I use with it, just water or some kind of carpet cleaner, etc?

A while back, I had some hockey jerseys customized at a local hockey shop. They did great work on the customization and it looks great all except for the fact that they also added a large screen print of the shop logo on the bottom hem of the jerseys. I was soooo pissed, but for some reason I didn't do anything about it at the time. I figured as time passed, it wouldn't bother me, but now it bugs me more than ever. I'd like to remove the screen printing, but I don't want to risk ruining the jersey. Is there anything that I can do to remedy this situation? Thanks in advance for any help!! :o)
