I just purchased a micro-fiber sofa, and the salesman claims it is "stain resistant"? I feel like I should protect it anyway with some kind of scotchguard. Does anyone have any experience with micro-fiber? Will scotchguard be a safe thing to do? Is it necessary?

New shirt. Worn once. Didn't spill on it. Wash it. Now a stain on the chest and I am ticked off. What is causing it and how can I remove it? Is my washing machine bad? This is a bad way to start the friggin' day.

We don't usually take my dog outside very much, but today we took him on a long walk. We came home and a few hours later we found two ticks on him. One when I was on the couch and the second one when we bathed him. My mom swept every inch of our house and we gave my dog a really thorough bath. Do we need to go all out with the sprays for the house and flea dips because of two fleas or do we just wait and watch for any more signs?

This has been happening for months. They are just tiny little holes that only show up on t-shirt. No signs of insects. No other type of clothing is effected. No rubbing of anything that should cause this.

So I have used bleach, oxy-clean, and lime away...but it still looks old and grimy. I do not want to put a hole in the stupid thing, but I want it to look like new. Any patches or "paint" that would bring back the clean look?

I've already tried nailpolish remover and it has only lightened it. My son took a Sharpie to our couch before I could get him. I don't know what else to try without ruining our couchs.

My four year old daughter has gotten fingernail polish on my new leather sofa. Is the couch ruined or is there a way to safely remove it without damaging my sofa?

We bought a Kirby Generation 3 in 1991 and they say that these vacuums last forever as long as you take care of them, but I am wanting to upgrade it to a newer vacuum and don't know if I should just keep the one I have or replace it?

The vacuum is going to need some repairs soon to it's drive/neutral switch ($80.00+) also I'd like to have a vacuum that isn't so heavy to lift/carry. Then there are the bags...I would like to switch to a bagless vacuum someday but don't know of a good brand that has simular power to the Kirby we have now.

I tried a spray-on cleaner, and now have a ring. It zips off, and I'd like to throw it in the washer w/ mild soap - is that going to ruin it?

Last week, my dryer started smelling like buring rubber when I ran it. So I stopped using it, got it fixed and it's ok now. The only thing is that the clothes that were in the dryer at the time it started to smell, now smell like burning rubber. I've washed them multipule times and have sprayed them a few times with Febreeze, but they still smell horrible. Does anyone know how to get the smell out? Thanks for the help!
