I have a pair of slip-on keds that are gross and nasty. I want to wash them, but I don't know how. I want to wash the whole shoe.

1] scrub them all over with warm water, detergent or dish soap, and a hand and nail brush.
2] if washable, through in the washing machine.
3] if not, rinse well, and scrub again. Rinse, and let dry in sun, or near an air vent.

Keds are washable, that is the main reason I wear them.

Poor liquid detergent on the bad spots and throw them in the washing machine with a load of towels. ( You may want to double rinse the whole load.)

After washing use shoe trees or stuff with paper towels and place is well venilated area to dry.

If you live in a humid area, you may need to change the paper a couple of times and or put them in the dryer on fluff cycle.

I threw mine in the washing machine and now I have blue shoes - the insole was navy and faded all over shoe . Very mad!

If they are white, throw them in with the whites and if they have darker color, wash them that way. I dry mine in front of the kitchen refrigerator. It is self defrost and does a good job. Good luck.
