I need to clean a fireplace. I was thinking of putting some water into the wet dry vac and vacuming the ashes so that it just mixes with the water in the vac and not cause a mess when I empty it. Has anyone else tryed this?

Help I accidentally put one of my husband's white shirts in with my red dress and it bled pink into the shirt. What can I do? It has a green design (thread) on it so I can use bleach...

We have a mirror in our bathroom above the sink that may have been intended for decoration only. Long story short it has been stained by what I can only guess is toothpaste splash and windex simply is not doing the trick. Can you suggest a cleaning solution that will take care of this problem?

Please only respond if you've had actual experience with this problem...plenty of people without experience have suggested vinegar or milk, but I have my doubts.

And, if possible, give the specific product name of whatever you used to get the gasoline out...or at least where you bought it.

Can you put pigskin leather in the washing machine? I have one of those super-new machines that can wash everything; landro-mat style. Is it safe to wash my jacket? I can't afford to dry clean it, and I was going to donate it to Goodwill anyway.

I looked here before and used suggestions but none of them worked. It's a strong dog smell, like puppy only multiplied by 100. I used "natures mircles" three times, even drenching it and it did not work( I used the whole bottle). I also used white vinegar ( the whole bottle) spraying the inside foam as well ( as I also did with Natures miracle), and finally Febreeze. Nothing works!!! any more ideas?, this is getting expensive and I cannot afford a new sofa. thank everyone is advance.

I used a new bath skin softening product in my whirlpool tub that is supposed to be safe for those tubs. It left a horrible sticky residue in the tub that I can't get out. The tub instructions say only to use Dawn or **** N Span to clean the tub with. Neither of these worked and I aso tried vinegar, which didn't work either. The tub has a glossy finish so it will scratch. Anyone have any recommendations for a cleaning product that will work and not scratch the tub?

I forgot my towels in the washer for a few days and they soured. I have washed them several times since then and I can still smell the sour smell. How do I get rid of the sour smell? I know I can't be the only one that has done this. Help!

I washed all the windows, cleaned the bathroom, brushed the dog and vacuumed the entire apartment. Do I have to wash the dishes, or will it be enough just to wash the pans necessary for cooking dinner? ;D
