My wife (who's from Colombia) made a selection of 'fritos' last night, they were delicious! However, before I met her, I was not much into deep pan frying and now I realize I don't know what to do with the maybe 1-inch deep pan of oil which is left. I remember my mum used to save the oil when I was a kid, but I vaguely remember learning since then that that's not the best thing to do. Right now, I have simply bottled up the oil in empty water bottles - I'm not going to use it again. But should I just throw them in the bin now? Take them some where, or what?!?

My friend and I are having this useless debate where we are arguing on the proper way to pronounce Palmolive dish soap.

I say it goes Palm-olive ( like the words palm and olive )
She says it goes Pal-mol-ive

Which way is correct?

I live with my boyfriend and our roommate is another guy. They both are 22 years old. Well my boyfriend and I have a cat that is fixed, and our roommate has one that sprays. I just bought Bissell Proheat 2X cleaner, and I want to make sure I get as many stains out as I can. Now between two working men, the cold, damp/wet weather that we have out in Wisconsin, and two cats, how will I be able to get the stains out. And keep my carpet looking and smelling clean. I already know how to use the carpet cleaner and I know to clean the carpet about once a week if not more. But I need some good tips on how to get the set in stains out. From snow, to cat urine, to beer, to mud, and heavy traffic areas. Please help me. I can use all the help I can recieve. Thank you.

If so, which one would you recommend, that really works well? I was told Dryell is a really good one, and you can clean up to 4 garnments at a time. Has anyone used Dryell and did it work?

I have a "marshmallow" winter jacket from a few years ago which has the exterior shell made out of PVC. The tag says not to dry clean or machine wash, and to spot clean the exterior as necessary. The problem is the interior and exterior have gotten very dirty (it's baby blue so it shows). How can I get the dirt out?

Okay... So I have a necklace, but I plan to use it as a gift to someone else for christmas; however, there are somethings (I'm not sure whether it's rust, stains...etc). So I need to know good and cheap ways to clean my necklace (I don't want to spend money on just to clean my necklace because I'm on a tight budget). Thanks.

My little girl got her hands on a magic marker her daddy left out on his desk, but when he sees it, *I'll* be the one to never hear the end of it. She drew all over the board gaurd of the waterbed, which is a sort of vinyl-y leather-y plastic-y substance....any ideas what'll take it off?

I'm a college student, and when I'm not in college I bring all my stuff back home. I literally have years and years worth of clutter that I need to sort through. It literally looks like a tornado went through there. I can barely walk through my room. I don't know how it got so bad! You'd of thought someone had broken into the house by the way my room looks! I guess I just let it build up, and even though I have a storage facility, I don't know how to even start dealing with all the junk.
