Use your nose, track down the source of the odors. The carpet is quite often to blame, but also remember to empty the drip tray in the bottom of the refrigerator, if it has one. Under the sink in the kitchen could be a culprit, check your drains and garbage disposal. A lemon in the disposal once in a helps. The dirty laundry can stink up a whole area before you realize it, especially if you have lot of dirty socks. Scrub your trash cans. Make sure there is no leak under any sink that could get the flooring wet and keep it that way. You might not even notice it happening but it could really smell bad. Plants in the house help scrub the air. And I use scented candles, it just makes the house smell good.

Baking cinnamon rolls helps also, I think I'm going to go make some now! And it's all your fault, you made me hungry thinking about it. lol

Bad odors can linger in walls, furniture, draperies, & carpeting. Try to find the source of the bad odors first, then clean those areas with whatever products it takes. When you clean, use products that will leave your home smelling clean. I dust my furniture with Lemon Pledge & it makes the home smell so good. My home is brand new but still, I use the Glade scented oil pug ins. There are so many nice scents to choose from & the higher the number you use on the plug in unit, the more scent you'll smell. (the oil just won't last very long) I love the Apple Cinnamon oil the best. I also like the vanilla scented oil, as well as some others. You may want to check into buying the candles in the jars. (Yankee) They burn clean & the jars don't contain lead. When I lived in Ohio, I bought my candles from one certain candle store. I loved going into that store & would spend at least in hour in there, just looking/smelling the many candles & gift baskets. I love their Baked Apple Pie candle the best. The large one burns for 20 some hours. It makes the home smell as though you had just taken an apple pie out of your oven. Here's the website: www.swancreekcandle.com. Enjoy!!!

Depends on your cleaning solution and method. In the kitchen and bathrooms use anything with bleach in it....even if u have to add into it. I mix Pine Sol solution with bleach and water. Open up windows as much as you can, even during winter. Once in a while, wipe down your kitchen walls, steam from cooking clings to walls. Don't forget to wash the inside and out of your trash can. If dirty laundry smells bad, add some fabric softening sheets into them. The Renuzit coned-shape deodorants are a plus in bathrooms and closets.
You can use candles, try the fruity or flowery smells. The plug-in glade stuff also work, I especially like the Oil plug-ins.

You can try carpet cleaning powder (like Resolve); that always works for me. You can buy it at any grocery store, its in the cleaning section. All you do is shake it on, leave it for a few minutes and vacuum up. It really gets those odd oders that appear.

Also, during the winter I boil a pot of water with Cinnamon sticks in it and let it go until the water is nearly evaporated. The steam travels around the house and everything smells like the holidays. I do the same in spring with sliced lemons. It really helps!

Clean the carpet. It holds all sorts of odors.
Spray white vinegar around on the carpet and the curtains and other fabrics. It will neutralize odors.
Do not use frebreeze or candles or air fresheners as they only mask odors for a little while.
When you clean the hard floors - tile, wood, etc - use one cup of vinegar and one cup of ammonia in a gallon of water. this mixture will also neutralize any lingering odors.
If you smoke in the house or fry a lot of foods that will make it stink also.
Hope this helps! :)

I use Glade Harvest Spice plug-ins, and they make my house smell great. They are especially great in the Fall and Winter, because it smells like cinnamin spice. Also the Plumeria Rose smells great too!!!

we hide Bounce (dryer sheets) around the house. You'd be surprised how effective they are. Works well in the car too.
