Since I have been using a Netto brand of fabric softener, the machine usually fails to take it up.
I have cleaned out the drawer where the powders and conditioner goes.
The instructions simply say put a capful in the machine, but it appears much thicker than others I have used, though some required being diluted before use.

Because in my opinion, I think it's funny that people would spend money on dry-cleaning their jeans. I can understand other fabrics, but jeans?! I can maybe understand if you take it to the cleaners to get a nice 'pressing' and have pleats done, but for goodness sake.....use an iron!

Your thoughts, please.

The inside of the pans are still great. I did put the pans in the dishwasher a few times, and they came out with a white film on them. Then, they started rubbing off to reveal the steel underneath the outer covering. These pots are only four years old and are professional ones (Cooks Essentials from QVC). Anyone know how to repair the pans? Anyone know the guarantee for Cooks Essentials? Thank you for any help you may have.

My Tefal Ultra Diffusion 70 iron has worked OK for years, and occasionally it would spout brown muck with water and would stain my shirts.
However now it has started to erupt and there is loads of brown stuff.
I don't have the manual, but it talks about self-clean on the website.
How can I get this stuff out of the iron?

I've seen all sorts of brands with 2x and even 3x concentrated laundry detergent like All, Purex, etc. I know it uses less plastic and fluid BUT DO THEY CLEAN AS GOOD? I've heard they do and also that they clean worse.

I am always buying jars of salsa. I like to can and cook so I am also always buying empty canning jars. I want to save $ and reuse my salsa jars. I get the label off the jar but can't get the glue off the jar. I have soaked them overnight in hot water, srcubed the heck out of them w/ a scouring pad, & ran them through the dishwasher several times. The glue will not come off, sounds silly but, this is driving me nuts. Any ideas for that sticky glue? If you know please share. =) thanks

I still have clothes from when I was 5. I'm transferring to another college, away from home and I have to clean out my closet. Besides, my room is packed full of clothes. Even if I pack half my stuff into a suitcase (improbable) I would still have a room full of clothes.
Help! I have a lot of things my mom gave me and I want to keep them in memory of her...this is so hard!

Hey there...I have two wonderful dogs, but after a few years the couch is looking a bit down. What is the easiest and most inexpensive way to clean up the furniture a bit. I will continue to have the dogs sleep on it.

I want him to reuse the existing 200 bags we already have. Every time I know for sure that I'm grocery shopping I'll bring a bunch of plastic bags with me. I'm trying to be environmentally friendly here but I guess the idea has never crossed his mind.

I've noticed that many of my shoes, including my dress shoes, tend to stink up after a while. Even after I spray the inside with Lysol and let them sit outside for a while, they still stink. I've bought charcoal shoe insoles in the past to absorb some of the smell, but still my shoes get all sweaty and smelly. Is there any way to fix this problem? Any recommended spray or something I can do for shoes that are too stinky already.

I use Murphys oil soap and clean them on my hands and knees, immediately drying with a soft dry towel after washing every part. I use very nice knee pads, so my knees don't hurt at all. Thing is, this is a TOUGH job, as my back and neck gets sore. Any suggestions, or perhaps ways to kneel so that it puts less pressure on my back? Let me in on some secrets you may know of. THANKS!!!

I have a black, 70% silk, 30% cotton, knit sweater that has accumulated deodorant on the inside underarms. So far I have only tried the dry cleaner, and washing it in cold water on the hand-wash cycle with a "delicates" detergent, and a small amount of liquid fabric softener. Please tell me what is best to try next.

I live in Austin TX.
I just bought a home (HUD foreclosure) & the carpet is yuk!
I'm hoping to pull it up soon (begining of 2008) but in the meantime I have to clean it somehow!
I think the previous owners had pets or something, I don't know how anyone can get a carpet THAT dirty!

My question:
Has anyone used those carpet cleaner rental thingies you rent at the grocery store (or anywhere, I don't know what they're called but they're those bulky red/blak cleaners..

Any suggestions on getting the funk out?
My whole house STINKS & I think it's coming from the carpet.. if it's not.. then I'm SOL!
