I have a spot on my baby girl's Baby Einstein Activity Mat/Gym (the part she lays on) from a piece of masking tape that I removed (from a garage sale). How can I remove it without ruining the fabric?

i got this new cotton sweater that i REALLY love its one of those knit kinds of sweaters. I LOVE it and even tho its only two days my sister (who's older than me, and FATTER) borrowed it (i didnt want her to, but my dad made me) and she stretched it out kinda. So I was hoping I could shrink it back... but would it then shrink TOO much? how much does cotton shrink in the wash?

I washed my nursing school uniforms and didn't realize that I had left a tube of Chapstick in my pocket. Well, needless to say, there are unsightly little spots all over my uniforms. Which, is unacceptable and if I don't get it out by Monday, I will be in serious trouble. I have read the various Chapstick/clothing related articles and it seems there are several treatments. My uniforms are blue/white. They are a cotton/poly blend. I cannot use bleach or anything that will discolor them. One of my instructors suggested "Goo gone", but it didn't work. I'm not sure what else to do.

I moved into this house and at first when the carpets were wet from the shampooing there was no stinch, but as soon as it dryed it smelted so disgusting. I got the smell to go away after living there for about 1-2 weeks, and then I finally got out of my lease because there is mold in the bathroom and I have severe asthma. I do have pets, but all are trained, and the one dog at first would accidently go on the floor, but I would catch it and clean it with a carpet shampooer right away, zo it did not get a chance to soak into the carpet. When I moved out I shampped the carpet again...was not stincky before or while it was wet, but when it dried it smelled of the same smell when I moved in. The landlord is now trying to sew me for a new carpet, and I'm trying to prove to the judge that we did not cause the stinch. This is a very old house and the carpet is at least 10 years old. Can somebody please help me with this question.

I just bought used furnitures for an incredible price with the only problem that they were dirty. i thought that was ok that i would have them cleaned but it cost aroudn 145 dollars to have just a sofa and loveseat cleaned. so I'm asking you guys what good product out there i could use to clean the sofa and loveseat myself.
Or do you think i should just have it cleaned cuz my main problem is once i clean it myself, how do i get it to dry
