Take some of your detergent and make a paste with water. Use a toothbrush or hand brush and scrub the spots. Shout would get the stuff off but may discolor it try a small area on the end first. If it's OK then spray the Shout on there with the paste and then scrub. Let them set with the mixture on them for a couple hours then, wash again. This time useOxy-clean too.
Add Oxy-clean to your detergent in the washer. Let this dissolve before you put them in there! Let the soak in the washer for an hour or more too.

I have managed to get stains out of clothing by soaking them in washing powder. I would mix washing powderwith hot water and then cool it right down , then add the covers and soak for a while. Make sure the water is cool before you add the covers or they will shrink.

Good old fashioned soap bar, soap . Soak them in cold water , rub in the soap leave the soap on for 1/2 hr , then pop them into your washing machine on a normal wash using your normal washing powder . This will remove the dirt & if they are of light color fabric , hang them outside in the sun . The sun is also great for bleaching your clothes whiter than white

What about Ace it's a liquid stain remover. If you have any stains on the covers you rub a little on where the stains are the put some of the Ace in with the soap powder. Or if all else fails you could always dye them.

lets see... being as they're cream coloured, i'd try sodium bicarb in a solution of water in the sink for a soak to hekp relieve any stains... however, keep in mind that sometimes fabric looks dirty when it's wet. I'd try the sodium bicarb, because it's gentle, and won't strip the colour. that oxi whatever, *trust pink, forget stains* is supposed to work well, also. Good luck!

Spray them with some sort of pre-wash product and let them sit for 10 minutes before washing.

oxyclean works like a charm on those.... i use white/cream slipcovers because i can just throw them in the wash.. use a gentle bleach and then run thru cycle again with oxyclean... should come out good as new.

have you tried bio-tex, you can buy it from the supermarket.
Soak the covers in the bath first with some bio-tex then wash them in a cool wash, with an extra rinse.
