There is no comparison really. Smaller hoover = smaller motor and less powerful suction. Combine that with the smaller space for collected dirt and fluff and useless. No sooner do you start to hoover than the bag/bin becomes full and restricts the suction. Basically the hand held ones are really just for hoovering up crumbs or doing the car. xx

The 14 volt one will be very poor, you can pick more fluff up by sucking through a straw compared to a 2000 watt one.
I have a 2000 watt one and the suctionis superb. Does the job in less than no time.

Hope this helps and have a nice day.

I used to use a small "Shark" brand hand vac. to vacuum my furniture it took forever and never seemed to get all the pet hair off... So, I use my wet/dry vac and it's wonderful.. It's a bit larger than a hand vac but, with the many attachments it deep cleans my furniture in no time ! I also use it for small carpet spots.. I just take the dry filter out. Good luck

I looked in the Argos catalogue and for uprights they give wattage and for hand helds voltage but no comparable figures. If you're buying ask for a demo of both types for comparison.
